Stellan smiled at her, "It's a day off today, no need to be so formal."
Eve awkwardly smiled, "My work is year-round, there's no such thing as a day off. You've always been my boss."
Stellan nodded, "Shopping?"
Eve explained, "It's my friend shopping, not me."
Stellan asked no more, he just went to the cashier to swipe his card, and the sales assistant brought out all the items Stella ordered, almost filling up a whole counter.
His brow furrowed slightly, Stella's call had already come through.
"Brother, keep them for me. I'll use them as soon as I return home!"
"Okay."
"You're the best, don't tell mom about this, okay? If she knows you bought me a bag, she'll say I'm a lazy bug again."
"Isn't it only natural for me to buy things for you? Have you set the return date? I'll personally come to pick you up." Stellan lowered his eyes and smiled, his voice gentle and steady.
