People at the front of the queue lifted their heads to look at the large umbrella above them, then glanced at the small umbrellas in their hands.
Before they could figure out what to do, people nearby who had already started eating chimed in.
"Hey, if you ask me, let the lady buy first. We've all been waiting, what's a few more minutes?"
"She could have taken away the umbrella and left you guys in the rain, but she didn't, right? It's only fair to give something in return while enjoying the benefits."
"Look at this rain, oh my, I can't imagine what I'd look like without these umbrellas!"
"She's so slim; she can't possibly eat much. Show some gentlemanly spirit here!"
"If I hadn't finished eating, I'd give my spot to this lady first. I feel like I owe her."
