Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 - Safe Zone

"Welcome to the Safe Zone of the Reincarnation Space, Reincarnated Seth," said a tiny fairy that appeared out of nowhere in front of me.

The Reincarnation Space assigns a guide fairy to each Reincarnated, whose mission is to facilitate access to the dungeons and provide guidance.

Although, in addition to that, they are also there to ensure that no illegal acts are committed.

Breaking the rules of the Reincarnation Space entails severe punishments, and depending on the severity, the offender could pay with their own life.

I approached the little fairy and made a request:

"Can you tell me which dungeons are open right now?"

Each dungeon has its own name, and if I manage to recognize it, I will know if I have any advantage due to what I already know about them.

The next moment, the little fairy replied, "The currently available dungeons are 'Minecraft' in Normal Mode and 'Terraria' in Hard Mode."

In the Safe Zones, the dungeons varied depending on the day, although they usually remained constant.

For example, I remember being in a dungeon called 'Muck', about which I have little information.

In that dungeon, the difficulty increased with each passing day, and the nights were full of monsters of all kinds.

I managed to survive until Day 7, when a Boss Monster suddenly appeared and eliminated me in a single blow.

The mission was to survive 30 days.

Muck was a video game from my world that I had dedicated very few hours to, and I only managed to complete it a couple of times before getting bored.

But...! If it's about Minecraft and Terraria, I know those worlds like the back of my hand.

I could consider myself an expert player! Although it's not that hard to become one...

In total, I could easily have accumulated more than 5,000 hours in both games.

And that, in reality, only made me look like an average player...

When I heard the names of the dungeons from the little fairy, excitement flooded me.

Sometimes, the Reincarnation Space offers you the opportunity to choose between two dungeon options.

However, the most common thing was that there was only one available dungeon at a time.

When there were two options, the Reincarnation Space divided them into difficulty levels, as is the case with Minecraft, which represents Normal Mode, and Terraria, which represents Hard Mode.

Since it is a Safe Zone dungeon, it can be repeated as many times as desired, so I could easily enter both if they didn't change.

Given that Terraria was the Hard Mode dungeon and I knew how dangerous it would be, I decided to first enter the Normal Mode dungeon: Minecraft.

Before entering the Minecraft instance, a holographic attribute panel appeared in front of me:

The attributes of an average adult male were around 10 points, while skills were divided into five levels: Basic, Competent, Expert, Master, and Supreme.

However, something immediately caught my attention: the existence of an ability called 'Recall' that I had never had before, and even less so in the Supreme rank. Intrigued, I couldn't help but ask the accompanying fairy for more information.

My excitement was almost palpable. What kind of ability was it? How powerful could it be?

However, the reality turned out to be very different from the expectations I had created.

[ Recall (Supreme): Passive ability that makes it easier to remember information related to the Reincarnation Space dungeons. ]

At first glance, the ability might seem useless to other Reincarnated. But for me, who might forget important details about the dungeon worlds, it was perfect. With 'Recall,' any piece of information I had ever overlooked or overheard would return to my mind when I entered a dungeon.

Satisfied, I asked the little fairy to send me to the Minecraft dungeon waiting room.

"Reincarnated Seth, you have chosen the 'Minecraft' Dungeon in Normal Mode. Do you confirm your choice?" she asked me in her usual neutral tone.

"Yes!" I replied firmly.

As soon as I finished confirming, the environment around me changed in a blink. I found myself in a completely white room, next to five other people.

Safe Zone dungeons were always played in groups of Reincarnated, unlike the Tower of Trials, which was a solo experience... with some exceptions.

"Reincarnated, you have five minutes to prepare," said all the fairies in unison, and a timer appeared in the center of the room. As they looked at the clock, the other Reincarnated noticed my presence.

"Hey! Professor, there is another person here besides us! Wasn't this dungeon supposed to be just for our group?" asked a boy in a white karate gi and black belt, looking at his companion, an imposing man with a Hawaiian shirt and a long white beard.

"Oh. I didn't expect anyone else to try this impossible dungeon, besides us," said the man, whom they called "professor."

Impossible dungeon?

The boy in the karate gi approached, offering me a handshake, which I accepted uncomfortably.

Can they just ignore me and leave me alone, please? was what he thought.

"My name is KarateMaster. We are from the School of Reincarnated. These are my teammates, and this is my professor, Atom," he said with a mischievous smile. "He is called that because his avatar is giant, but in real life he is a dwarf."

Atom frowned and replied angrily, "I'm going to punish you for that, brat! Don't reveal details about my real-world appearance so lightly!"

"You can call me Seth," I introduced myself simply.

"What brings you to the Minecraft Dungeon, Seth? Did you know this dungeon is classified as impossible, right?" asked KarateMaster, visibly curious.

Impossible? How the hell can someone not beat Minecraft?

They must be joking... right?

Atom, noticing my confusion, intervened. "The mission is to defeat the End Dragon, better known as the EnderDragon, but in the last ten years, no one has found a single clue about it. People have simply given up."

KarateMaster looked at me surprised. "Did you enter a dungeon without informing yourself first? Lucky we are in the Safe Zone. A mistake like that would cost you your life in the Tower of Trials."

I was grateful for the information, although inside I couldn't help but laugh at the situation. Seriously, in ten years, has no one found anything about the EnderDragon?

This was going to be more fun and interesting than I expected.
