Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Entering the Azure Sky Sect

Jia Yi quite enjoyed the ride, as the ship was a second-grade artifact with many rooms and enough space for everyone.

Still, when he finally landed, he was delighted.

For a farmer, being on steady land was better than flying in the sky.

Even a green cloud counted as steady land, at least to him. He wouldn't mind living on one…

When they arrived at the sect, Jia Yi was astonished by the Evergreen Cloud Valley.

The mountains were extremely high, from afar, it was difficult to see through. When he got closer, he saw a wonderful landscape – high mountains, deep valleys and rivers flowing through them.

Most importantly were the thirteen green clouds in the sky!

Five clouds were poised in all directions, while seven clouds were flying around the valley, some above, some to the side, some vast, some small…

They had verdant green colours – a common feature of green clouds! The deeper their colour, the better they are!

These are the thirteen core clouds. The five lower are the sect-owned cloud gardens, tended by various elders and disciples, while the seven higher clouds are all owned by the supreme elders of the sixth rank!

Jia Yi and the others went off the ship which had landed in the northern entrance of the valley. The valley was open north and south, closed east and west, to defend against the sea beasts to the eastern shore and various sects to the west.

Even the entrance was rather small, making Jia Yi feel like he was sneaking between tall buildings.

"Come here to register!" a middle-aged woman, elegant and beautiful as she was, was calling out to Jia Yi and others who were still observing the spectacular appearance of the whole valley.

Although they only saw a bit of the entrance, Jia Yi couldn't stop exclaiming how great this was!

After all, the core spirit vein of the valley is said to be a twin earth and heavenly root, one from the ground and another from the sky! Both are peak sixth grade too, so the lowest point in the valley still had a concentration of a second-grade spirit vein, a high-grade at that!

Jia Yi had to admit that there was a reason why the sect was so strong and had so many cultivators.

Hundreds of thousands of qi refining cultivators, tens of thousands of foundation building cultivators… only starting from the third stage, will there be a large reduction, which is why it's the core personnel.

Jia Yi walked to the kind lady with Xianghe and Xianghu, "I'm Jia Xiangyi and these are Xianghu and Xianghe." He introduced himself and his younger cousins, handing over their jade badge as proof of identity.

Although there were various Jia family members with them, they were the only ones that needed to register, as the others had already joined and had their own sect badge.

Many entered the sect daily, so Jia Yi's receptionist, the kind lady, had only registered them, not the other Jia members.

She nodded "A new round of Jia family members joining? What are your qualifications?" she asked quietly as she scanned the badge with a special ability.

It contained not only their identity but also their talent, contribution points earned, achievements, and such.

The family badge was constructed after the sect badge, so it was very compatible with various techniques.

"What! 1900 contribution points earned!" she said surprised, her voice low the whole time, as if having been used to only speaking in a low voice for a long time.

"Oh, I understand. You are a certified intermediate spiritual farmer! What a surprise, at such a young age, without neglecting your cultivation, you already reached this far into spiritual farming!"

Although Jia Yi could've become a high-grade spiritual farmer, he didn't want to make the effort of switching the plants he planted just to get a small achievement. The contribution points earned were the same anyways.

He only earned that title after he earned over 200kg of rice per acre.

The lady ignored the talent. Although that was high, it wasn't too much of a surprise for her. There were various children with similar or even higher roots.

For the sect, an intermediate spiritual farmer is worth more than a blessed spiritual root, if they are of the same age. Because this proved the person's talent in farming.

A farming sect will naturally think better of farming cultivators.

Then the lady checked the other two and saw that they were both novice low-stage spiritual farmer.

Although this was rather easy to achieve, it still earned them a short praise, because this meant they would at least not lose money when farming, better than full novices.

Xianghe and Xianghu didn't initially farm, but seeing their elder brother so diligent, they decided to also do it.

Because they started later and because of their lower skill, their highest achievement were around 170kg, which was still very good for their age.

The three were registered and their bade returned. As said, the badge was based on the sect badge, with barely any difference.

The lady only stamped a "Azure Cloud Sect" symbol on the front, while the back still contained the "Jia Family" symbol, a tall tree spreading its roots, from which various plants popped up, mainly rice and corn.

Jia Yi and the others took their badges before returning to the ship, looking around and waiting.

The entrance was a vast grassland, with various ships parked on the ground and in the sky. The reception they were at was a small hut, many of which were all around, like mushrooms sprouting on the ground.

The scenery was harmonious and looked very peaceful, but Jia Yi also saw formation symbols on the ground at every hundred or so steps.

Only he could see them, for others, it just looked like a few flowers or some tall grass, blending into the grassland very well.

It looked like a huge formation, but not knowing the details, he couldn't know what it was used for.

His guess was that it was a protection formation, to block this entrance in case of war.

Who knows, maybe the grass and flowers would suddenly sprout into the sky, instantly closing the entrance. Or maybe it was a huge shield covering the whole passage!

Jia Yi and the others walked onboard once more, the ship heading towards the Jia families' mountain, where they would take further instructions.
