The moment Yūki's hand touched that figure, a row of information immediately appeared in his mind.
A Stand? In an instant, he took a deep breath, and his entire body couldn't help but tremble.
The so-called "Stand" is a powerful manifestation produced by the life energy within a living body. Since this manifestation always appears beside the human body, it is named "Stand," originating from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
Simply put, a "Stand" can be understood as the concrete manifestation of an individual's "life energy." Therefore, the appearance and abilities of a "Stand" are ever-changing and are almost always inextricably linked to the user's personality and characteristics.
The method to summon a "Stand" is also very simple. Basically, one only needs to call out its name. It was clearly Yūki's utterance of "Ōtsutsuki Kaguya" that triggered the condition earlier, even though it was missing one character.
Yūki naturally knew about "Stands," but he never imagined he would possess such an ability in this world where "Stands" shouldn't exist at all!
"And my Stand is actually this? A miniaturized version of the final boss?"
After figuring out what the suddenly appearing juvenile version of Kaguya was, Yūki wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and carefully observed this Stand named "Princess Kaguya."
Judging by appearance alone, "Princess Kaguya" was almost a completely shrunken version of Ōtsutsuki Kaguya. While her body was reduced in size, she retained all her unique characteristics, making her recognizable at a glance.
This Stand seems to be an intelligent type and a fully controllable one?
After carefully observing the appearance of "Princess Kaguya," Yūki boldly reached out to touch her head. However, apart from looking at him curiously with her pair of Byakugan, this petite and lovely figure showed no other reaction.
The vast majority of Stands only act after receiving their user's commands; they are essentially tools of their users. Only a very few Stands possess wisdom and self-awareness, but clearly, the "current" "Princess Kaguya" does not.
Whew. Realizing this, Yūki breathed a sigh of relief.
Even though she was his own Stand, after all, this "Kaguya" resembled the final boss, giving off an extraordinary sense of pressure. Discovering that she couldn't act autonomously actually made him feel more relaxed.
After all, if the little moon rabbit were to say something like, "Look, humans are just trash," or "Why should a mere piece of garbage with a meager combat power command me?" Yūki wouldn't have the confidence to establish a proper master-image.
Logically speaking, a Stand is the embodiment of the user's "life energy," but my Stand looks like Kaguya. As expected, the descendants of the Ōtsutsuki—the blood of aliens still flows in our bones.
"However, while it's good to have a Stand, this Stand's abilities and attributes are just too weak."
After roughly understanding what "Princess Kaguya" was, Yūki began to focus on her abilities, as this would be his partner in future battles.
The so-called Stand ability values evaluate a Stand's capabilities based on six types of stats: "Destructive Power," "Speed," "Range," "Persistence," "Precision," and "Developmental." They are basically divided into six levels: S (Highest), A (Excellent), B (Good), C (Average), D (Poor), and E (Extremely Poor).
Among them:
"Destructive Power" is the ability value used to evaluate a Stand's attack power and destructive force. Generally, close-range power types and long-range automatic operation types receive relatively high evaluations.
"Speed" is the ability value used to evaluate a Stand's agility and action speed. Generally, close-range power types and long-range automatic operation types receive relatively high evaluations.
"Range" is used to evaluate the maximum distance the user can control the Stand, or the Stand's attack range. Long-range or long-range automatic operation Stands usually receive higher ratings.
"Persistence" is used to evaluate the maximum duration the Stand ability can be activated, or the ability to maintain its state. Stands that attack indiscriminately or force enemies into abnormal states receive higher ratings.
"Precision" is the ability value used to evaluate the degree of fine control over the Stand's movements. Stands with low precision ratings usually have characteristics like indiscriminate area attacks.
"Developmental" is the ability value used to evaluate the extent to which a Stand's abilities can continue to grow. Usually, newly acquired or awakened Stands receive higher ratings.
The six attributes of Yūki's Stand, "Kaguya," are "Destructive Power E, Speed E, Range E, Persistence E, Precision E, Developmental ?".
In other words, most of this Stand's ability values are extremely, extremely weak. None of the attributes even reach the average human level, i.e., the "C" level. They are simply pitifully weak.
But the only thing that comforted Yūki was that the attribute in the "Developmental" column was a big "?"—in other words, "Princess Kaguya" still has immense room for growth.
Of course, a Stand's strength isn't necessarily completely tied to its six stats; its special ability is the most important. However, the special ability of "Princess Kaguya," "Tidal Moon," doesn't seem very powerful either.
"Absorbs the power of the moon and uses it for one's own purposes. This special ability is a bit vague."
After thinking for a while, Yūki couldn't immediately judge how useful "Tidal Moon" would be because the description was too ambiguous.
It says it absorbs the power of the moon, but what counts as absorption? What will "Princess Kaguya" become after absorbing it? In short, without testing, everything is still unknown, and it seems nothing more has been specified.
Well, I'll try it out tonight after I go out, Yūki thought.
While he was constantly experimenting with his Stand, three hours passed quickly, and the door of the ancestral hall was finally opened from the outside.
"Have you gained any insights from the ancestor's statue?"
As Yūki was led out of the ancestral hall and walked toward the center of the Hyūga residence with Hiashi, his cheap father asked casually.
In the hall not far away, a banquet had been prepared to celebrate the young master's completion of the ceremony. According to tradition, everyone, whether from the main or branch family, could enjoy themselves here. It could be said to be a very special day for the Hyūga clan.
"What insights could I possibly gain, Father?"
At this moment, Yūki turned around and asked after replying. After all, there was really only a statue in the ancestral hall, and he didn't know what he was supposed to be worshipping.
"Hmph, of course not. I knelt for three hours in vain back then."
After being stunned for a second, Hiashi spoke expressionlessly, a rare fluctuation in his tone.
So this ceremony really is a scam. Cheap Father, you're such a stickler for rules. Kneeling for three hours must have been quite miserable...
The two looked at each other. Yūki couldn't help but turn his head and start snickering, while even the always stern Hiashi showed a slight smile at the corner of his mouth. At this moment, the two truly looked like father and son.
Immediately afterward, the Hyūga clan's carnival began.
In the spacious hall, rows of food and drinks were laid out before everyone.
On this night, everyone—whether high-ranking or servants, from the main or branch family—drank and made merry. It was incredibly lively. Almost everyone drank a lot of wine, though Yūki, of course, drank fruit juice.
This carnival lasted until late at night. It wasn't until Yūki was completely exhausted that he was released and, accompanied by a maid, crawled into his warm bed.
"By the way, has anything big happened recently?"
Originally, Yūki had planned to test the effects of "Princess Kaguya" tonight, but he was too tired to rush. Still, he intended to gather some information before going to sleep.
"Something big? Now that you mention it, it seems the envoy from Kumogakure arrived in the village today and is discussing an armistice agreement with our village."
"Kumogakure? Armistice agreement?"
Hearing these words, Yūki couldn't help but frown.
It must be said that although Kumogakure came to Konoha to sign an armistice treaty—which isn't a major event from a historical perspective—it involves an incident related to the Hyūga family: the "Attempted Kidnapping Incident."
Those guys from Kumogakure used the truce as a pretext but actually wanted to seize the "Kekkei Genkai, the Byakugan." So, after arriving in Konoha, they secretly attempted to kidnap the eldest daughter of the Hyūga family. However, the kidnapper was killed by Hiashi, and later, his brother Hizashi sacrificed himself generously...
Huh? Wait? Speaking of this incident, does it have anything to do with me?
In an instant, Yūki couldn't help but scratch his head. He suddenly realized that he had now replaced Hyūga Hinata's position and become the eldest son of the Hyūga family. If nothing unexpected happened, the real Hyūga Hinata would be born in five years, taking the position of the Hyūga family's eldest daughter, while Hyūga Hanabi's position would remain unchanged.
In other words, the Hyūga family currently has no eldest daughter, only one eldest young master—and that is him!
