Chapter 376 - Kujou Iruka: How about this?

A wicked, alluring big sister.

Add to that the pair of pitch-black wings spread at Kujou Iruka's waist — the kind that looked like they belonged to a character who had walked straight out of a comic convention.

To Su Yuzu, it was as if a fallen angel had descended on her dorm room.

And then bullied her senseless.

What was more, unlike the wings that ordinary angel characters wore on their backs, the pitch-black wings spread at the small of Kujou Iruka's slender waist — decorative as much as anything — gave Su Yuzu the impression not only of a fallen angel, but of a succubus.

Considering the way Kujou Iruka had been pressing her advance a moment ago, that impression seemed... entirely fair, actually.

Kujou Iruka caught the girl's gaze lingering on her.

Honestly, she didn't mind that feeling one bit.

A moment ago this girl had been teased to the brink of tears, right on the edge of whimpering; the next, her eyes were fixed wholly on Kujou Iruka. It felt unexpectedly good.

Of course—

In front of Su Yuzu, Kujou Iruka still had a position of dominance to maintain.

"What are you staring at?"

Black wings flaring wide, Kujou Iruka bore down on the girl, who still looked more than a little flustered.

She crowded Su Yuzu back until there was nowhere left to go but up onto the shoe cabinet.

From where Su Yuzu sat, looking down gave her a perfect view of Kujou Iruka's pretty, alluring little face — and, because Iruka had spread her wings and dipped her waist while arching her upper body up to loom over her, the delicate line of her lower back, left bare.

Silver chains hung down from where the pitch-black wings met her body, those vertical lines and the slender curve of her waist composing a flawless picture.

"Sister Iruka... you're beautiful." Su Yuzu had never been stingy with her praise for a beautiful girl.

Even back with Leviathan's daughter — beautiful was beautiful.

Pushed up onto the shoe cabinet, Su Yuzu had to brace her hands carefully against Kujou Iruka's shoulders. It was the only support Kujou Iruka had left her.

Otherwise... Su Yuzu really would have had to surrender her entire weight to Kujou Iruka's Domination.

Although... the current situation was hardly any better.

Hearing praise from the very girl she was tormenting, Kujou Iruka let a small, satisfied smile curve her lips.

Nobody had ever come to praise her down in the Abyss—

It was the same for most of the Aberrants Su Yuzu had seen in the game.

Unless the circumstances were unusual, with some artificial factor interfering — an Aberrant converted through an "Aberrant Activation Device," for instance.

Or unless they were "Thrones," equals of Su Yuzu and Kujou Iruka, or had carried some boundless, terrible obsession before their fall.

The vast majority of Aberrants couldn't be reasoned with at all. At best they could grunt and moan out the simplest of feelings.

For Kujou Iruka, that meant boredom.

A world like that was boring beyond words.

She had wanted to come play in the Tokyo metropolitan area for the longest time.

But of all things... the Word of Command that hateful woman had left behind was aimed squarely at her.

Even the small fry could slip into the Tokyo metropolitan area.

And yet she, a Seventh Sequence, an existence on par with the Abyss itself, was bound by the rules and couldn't set half a foot inside the Tokyo metropolitan area.

Kujou Iruka was also the stubborn sort.

True, being barred from the Tokyo metropolitan area hardly stopped her from going somewhere else to play.

With her power and her speed, she could have flown across the ocean to amuse herself somewhere far away, and nobody would have been able to do a thing about it.

But she had dug her heels in against that infuriating "dead woman."

Kujou Iruka refused to accept it. A mere "dead woman" — was she really going to outlast her?

See?

Here she was, back after all.

The girl's praise left Kujou Iruka thoroughly pleased.

She propped the girl's chin up against her cheek, her fingertip brushing that earlobe which had, in her eyes, become some sort of marvelous switch. "Don't go thinking a few sweet words—"

"—are going to get you out of this, hm?"

Anyone with eyes, though, could tell that Kujou Iruka was in a very good mood.

"All right—" She finally eased back a fraction, and Su Yuzu's toes slowly found the floor again.

"Come play with me. Properly."

"And if..." Those lovely lips curved. "—you don't show me a good enough time—"

"Then I'll have no choice but to treat you as my toy."

"But..." Su Yuzu took in the outfit Kujou Iruka was wearing and hesitated.

Kujou Iruka's getup really was stunning.

The graceful lines of her figure.

The exquisite, elaborate ornamentation.

The spread black wings.

Allure and sheer intimidating presence, both dialed to the maximum.

Drop her into a game and one look would tell you she was the kind of unit built to drain a wallet.

But it really wasn't... the best outfit for a trip into town.

Not because anyone would peg her for an Aberrant — more that the traits marking her as a Seventh Sequence Aberrant were a touch too much on display.

And privately, Su Yuzu wasn't all that keen on other people seeing Kujou Iruka like this.

She understood, of course, that Kujou Iruka had once led armies by the thousand against the Tokyo metropolitan area, and plenty of people had surely seen the form she took after falling into the Edge of Aberration.

But that had been a battlefield—

And on a battlefield, most people had only one thought in their heads: staying alive.

"But what?" Kujou Iruka closed in on her again.

Every line of her said that if Su Yuzu dared refuse, she would happily go back to using her as a toy for her own personal edification.

Now Su Yuzu finally understood exactly how Saint Michael must have felt back when she'd been dragged out and bullied like this.

"Sister Iruka, this outfit of yours..."

Su Yuzu gestured vaguely, her voice dropping lower and lower. She had no idea what their attire actually meant to Aberrants.

But whether it was someone as weak as Little Kiyomi or as strong as the Seat of Evil, when she devoured their Catastrophe Crystals, they all seemed to... struggle quite a lot.

Kujou Iruka blinked.

Sometimes... she wasn't looking for an answer out of Su Yuzu at all.

Quite the opposite—

She simply wanted to tease Su Yuzu a little.

To watch the girl shiver at a whisper against her ear, her voice going soft and small, wearing that thoroughly bullied look.

"Is that so—"

"I understand."

Kujou Iruka straightened up.

In the next breath the black wings flared to their full span, then folded in and wrapped around her body.

Before, there had been only the one thigh-high stocking, asymmetrical. Now black feathers climbed and spread up Kujou Iruka's left leg, reshaping into its twin. Faintly, under the lights, Su Yuzu thought she could still tell the two apart.

The original looked finer, more delicate.

The new one had a matte quality to it.

Her slender high heels kept their vicious spikes, only shifting into boots in almost exactly the same shade as the stockings.

A dark gray wool blazer settled over Kujou Iruka's shoulders, and with it — rare on an Aberrant — a pale, oversized boyfriend hoodie, both hems dropping into place at once.

Black feathers scattered through the air.

The hoodie barely covered her thighs, and while it made it hard for Su Yuzu to look away, it also stirred up a small twinge of worry.

Kujou Iruka raised her right hand.

She set a broad-brimmed, military-style cap on her head.

Watching the girl in front of her, who seemed unable to tear her eyes away, Kujou Iruka decided nothing in the world could satisfy her more than that gaze.

Oh—

There was one thing.

The look in the girl's eyes just now, when she'd been teased until she had no choice but to beg for mercy.

"Like this—" Kujou Iruka leaned in to Su Yuzu's ear once more.

She was far too close.

Close enough that she seemed about to kiss her.

The right hand that had just set the cap in place brushed across her own lips.

Their soft, dewy color turned vivid and bold.

And those dark golden — those dark golden vertical pupils, brimming with predatory intent — melted into a deep blue that oozed big-sister charm.

"Well? How do I look?"
