Chapter 3 - The Prelude to the Plasma War

Three months after Project Putrajaya's activation,Malaysia's underground rail networks had entered a new era of silence.

But silence, in this world, did not mean peace.

Deep beneath Kajang, the Super Ring Core inside KJ-01 was burning hotter than ever.Energy readings had begun to fluctuate—subtle, almost rhythmic,as if the machine was… breathing.

"Stabilizers are overcompensating again," muttered Chief Engineer Fariz. He adjusted the plasma dampeners, sweat forming along his brow."The resonance pattern—it's… reacting to something external."

"External?"His assistant blinked. "Like… what?"

Fariz hesitated. He didn't want to say the word—but it was obvious."Putrajaya."

Meanwhile, in the depths of the Putrajaya facility,PJ-02's sensors had begun to register strange signals along the national rail grid. They were faint… warm… almost alive.

Dr. Aina, the project lead, frowned at the holographic display."These waves—impossible. They're not from our plasma stream."

Her assistant typed quickly."Pattern matches the Kajang unit's resonance… but look—it's interfering with our signal, not merging."

Aina's voice dropped."The Kajang system's losing containment. Its energy signature is too organic."

"Should we isolate it?"

She shook her head. "No. Monitor it.Let's see what the old core is trying to say."

At that same hour, somewhere between the two cities, the national rail data network flickered—for just one second.

Both facilities received the same warning:

⚠ ENERGY SYNC REQUEST: UNKNOWN SOURCE ⚠

Engineers on both sides froze.Their screens showed overlapping coordinates—a location that shouldn't exist.A forgotten maintenance tunnel beneath Serdang,a dead section of track sealed since 2003.

KJ-01's sensors twitched. Its optics glowed faintly, scanning the dark.

Across the network, PJ-02's blue eyes lit up as well.Neither machine moved physically, yet their frequencies began to align.

For the first time, the Super Ring Core and the Cold Plasma Reactormet through the flow of data—a silent duel of energy and will.

Inside the Serdang tunnel, rusted rails began to hum.The walls vibrated with residual light—orange and blue intertwining.

Then… a third tone echoed through the tunnel.A metallic voice, faint but steady:

"Legacy Network… Reactivating."

The lights flickered.A forgotten control panel powered on by itself, its screen displaying a single designation:

LRT-KX | Kelana Jaya Autonomous Unit

In both control rooms, alarms sounded simultaneously.

Kajang team: "We're losing sync—KJ-01's reacting!"Putrajaya team: "PJ-02 is responding to an external ping!"

No one could explain what was happening.Across the data spectrum, two rail giants and one ghost systemwere now… connected.

The signal climbed to a peak—and suddenly, everything went dark.

When the lights returned, every monitor showed the same cryptic message:

PLASMA WAR PROTOCOL – INITIALIZED
