Chapter 82 - Beaten Into Submission

Jarvan III snapped back to reality, composed himself, and asked, "May I ask, what brings the esteemed guests here?"

Cheng Yaowen and Zhao Xin were about to speak, but Ge spoke first, exuding an invisible Coercion. Everyone present felt their breathing become difficult.

"We have come to spread the faith of Our God, and to incorporate your nation into the Divine Kingdom," Ge's voice was not loud, but it carried an unquestionable authority.

"Before we came, we had some expectations for Demacia," Ge's gaze swept the hall. "There are many Otherworld Counterparts of us here, and the lives of the common folk are relatively stable. We originally planned to discuss this properly with you."

His tone suddenly turned cold and biting: "But having personally witnessed your disgusting Magic ban system and this blatant injustice, I am completely disappointed in you."

"It's time for this outdated rule to be abolished."

The hall erupted in an uproar. A Noble couldn't help but step forward: "And who are you to do so?"

Before he finished speaking, he was suppressed by an even stronger Coercion released by Ge and forced to kneel on the ground. A gigantic phantom of a God seemed to materialize behind Ge, and a sparkling silver Giant Lion faintly appeared beside him.

Cold sweat beaded on Jarvan III's forehead. He quickly waved his hand: "Lord, please quell your anger! We are well aware of the backwardness of the Magic ban system and are already looking for ways to change it! I believe that within a few years, we will be able to..."

Ge interrupted him: "A few years? What about those innocent Mages during those few years? Did any of you ever care?" He recalled the little girl, Luna, he had just met, whose small figure trembled slightly, making his heart ache.

Ge sneered: "Don't talk about treating everyone equally! That Noble Girl behind you, whose Magic Power is so powerful, why didn't I see you arrest her?"

Saying this, Ge stretched out his hand and directly triggered the Light Magic Power Lux had suppressed within her body.

"Ah!" Lux cried out in surprise. Dazzling white light burst forth from her, gathering into a column of light that shot straight into the sky, actually piercing the Royal Palace roof.

"How can Lux be a Mage?"

The Crownguard Family members exchanged glances, clearly aware of Lux's secret.

It was no surprise; living together day and night, how could Lux's secret be concealed from everyone? The Crownguard Family members knew about it to varying degrees, but tacitly kept the secret for her.

Jarvan III's expression stiffened. He looked at Garen's Parents, who were filled with guilt.

His face turned pale, and a deep bitterness filled his heart: It seemed the God's words were true; Demacia's Magic ban had never been equitable.

Facing Jarvan III's silence, Zhao Xin pressed on: "What's wrong, speechless after being hit where it hurts?"

He raised his chin provocatively: "We'll give you a choice: either submit obediently, or be beaten into submission by us!"

Jarvan III's expression was complex. He was not afraid, nor was he unwilling to relinquish his power; he was simply worried about the future of Demacia's people.

In the world of the League of Legends Universe, Gods were always aloof, viewing mortals as ants. The God War of ancient times had reduced countless common folk and Believers to cannon fodder.

Cheng Yaowen perceived his concern, stepped forward, and said, "Joining the service of Our God, you will receive Patronage. You only need to offer your Loyalty and Faith."

"In return, you will receive Divine Grain. This grain can grow with just water, light, and soil, and it ripens every few days."

This statement caused an explosion of noise in the Council Hall.

"What? Grain that ripens every few days?"

"This... how is this possible? It's even more miraculous than Magic!"

"If such grain truly exists, our Demacia will never have to worry about famine again!"

"But... will the Gods truly grant us Patronage?"

The Ministers were in an uproar. Some were excited, some were doubtful, and most were utterly incredulous.

Cheng Yaowen surveyed the hall, taking in the hopeful and nervous faces, and said loudly, "Pray to Our God, and you can obtain everything you desire! Now, make your choice: Will you worship Our God?"

Jarvan III pondered for a long time, his gaze sweeping over the faces filled with anticipation and anxiety. He knew that the fate of all Demacia rested on his shoulders.

After a struggle, Jarvan III finally made up his mind, slowly rising: "Demacia is willing to submit to the God!"

At the same time, Ian sensed Demacia's submission from the sky.

He smiled slightly, and with a wave of his hand, Power of Faith infused various locations throughout Demacia, solidifying into solemn Faith Altars.

As for proselytizing, Ian was not worried.

A God who truly brings tangible benefits to his Believers doesn't need to actively preach.

The common folk, having tasted the benefits, would naturally become the most devout Believers and spread the Faith spontaneously.

Kayle, the Winged Justice, sensed the disturbance in Demacia, flapped her wings, and streaked across the sky like a flowing light.

"My blades of justice fall upon the wicked!"

Kayle whispered, her voice echoing in the wind. The Flames of Justice burned brightly in her golden eyes.

Suddenly, the clouds ahead churned, and a group of Angels with pure white wings blocked her path. The leader wore silver Battle Armor, sat high upon a Throne, and had a face strikingly similar to Kayle's, yet appeared far more dominating.

"Who are you!" Kayle sharply demanded, her voice carrying an undeniable authority.

Angel Leng stepped forward, "Let the clouds roll; Queen Kesha has arrived."

Kayle's pupils constricted. She stared intensely at Kesha: "Wicked one, you dare impersonate me! Submit to the Light, and I shall spare your Soul."

Kesha let out a light laugh, "Tsk, tsk, tsk, oh my, it seems my Otherworld Counterpart is very arrogant. I'll give you two paths: either surrender, or be beaten into submission."

"No mercy for those who defy!"

Kayle stopped wasting words, fiercely flapped her wings, and two Flaming Holy Swords appeared in her hands. She rushed toward Kesha, engulfed in Sacred Flames.

Kesha's eyes narrowed, and her Fighting Spirit surged: "Oh? Interesting. You also use swords? I haven't stretched my muscles in quite a few years; today is a good opportunity."

"Yan!"

Angel Yan immediately handed over a Solar Sword. Kesha took it, her wrist flicked lightly, and flames erupted from the blade.

"Clang—!"

The three swords intersected, scattering golden light. Kayle's Flaming Holy Swords clashed with Kesha's Solar Sword, creating a deafening boom.

Kayle suddenly felt a massive force transmit through her Swords, and she was secretly alarmed: 'This impostor's power is actually superior to mine!'

Kesha easily blocked Kayle's attack and smiled faintly. She could feel that although her counterpart in this world had strong Divine Power, she was still inexperienced.

"Is that all?" Kesha looked at Kayle provocatively. "It seems your Winged Justice is nothing more than this."

Kayle's anger was triggered. She beat her wings and swung her twin Swords, transforming them into a sky full of Sword Shadows that assaulted Kesha.

Kesha neither dodged nor retreated. She wielded her Solar Sword like the wind, blocking every attack.

"All flash and no substance," Kesha scoffed, and her figure flashed, appearing behind Kayle.

Kayle only felt a blur before her eyes, and then Kesha's sword arrived. The flames on the blade caused a sharp pain.

"You lose."

Kayle never thought she would be defeated so quickly and so completely.

Kesha tilted her head slightly, her eyes playful: "Do you submit?"

Kayle gritted her teeth, stubbornly remaining silent.

"Don't submit? Then I'll beat you until you do!" Kesha seemed to have found a trace of interest, and the Solar Sword in her hand was brandished fiercely.
