Chapter 7 - CHAPTER-7 What Is love ?

As Dream was walking towards the bright penthouse at the edge of the city, many couples and schoolmates of his were also walking past him completely attracted by the lavish and huge house.

He walked into the penthouse where guards were situated at each entrance.

As Dream entered the bright hall the clinking of glasses, and the pulsing beat of music filled it that seemed to mock his aching heart. He scanned the crowded room, searching for one face in particular, desperate to find her amidst the sea of strangers.

Until Dream found her still as beautiful even after all these days in his solitude.

She was a vision of breathtaking beauty that made his heart stop in his chest. Eri was a beacon of radiance, her laughter ringing out like a melodic symphony as she moved through the crowd with a newfound grace and confidence. The guests parted for her like the Red Sea, a clear indication of the reverence and admiration they held for the stunning creature at the center of it all.

And behind Eri was Alex just as handsome as always with a crowd of girls following him who were mesmerized by his charming looks.

While Dream spectate from afar he saw Alex slip an arm around Eri's waist, pulling her close as he leaned in to whisper something in her ear. The intimate gesture made Dreams's heart clench with a bitter pang of jealousy.

This act made his resolve to tell her the truth stronger and greater.

Steeling himself, Dream began to make his way through the crowd, weaving between the revelers until he stood before the happy couple. He cleared his throat, his voice emerging as a hoarse whisper amidst the cacophony of the party. As Eri noticed him he asked her.

"Eri... can I talk to you? Please, it's important."

Dream eyes were pleading just one chance to tell her the truth of what really happened...

(But I guess this was his Last chance)

Suddenly a guard placed a hand on Dreams shoulder as another one kicked him making him fall to the floor before he could tell her anything.

the force of the guard's kick sending him sprawling amidst the shocked and amused onlookers. Pain exploded through his ribs, a sharp and searing agony that made his vision swim and blur. He blinked away the tears that sprung to his eyes, trying to regain his bearings as the room spun around him.

Through the haze of pain and humiliation, Dream looked up at Eri, his heart still clinging to a desperate hope that she might listen to him what he wats to say. But the expression he found on her beautiful features was anything but compassionate.

Eri's eyes flashed with a fury that made Dream's blood run cold. Her lips curled into a sneer of utter contempt, a look of pure disgust and anger that cut him to his very core. Without a word, she raised her foot, the heel of her shoe glinting in the dim light, and brought it down hard against Dream's chest with a vicious kick.

The impact sent a shockwave of agony through Dream's body, The room erupted into a chorus of cruel laughter, the guests from their school reveling in the sight of the once-popular boy brought low, now a pathetic figure sprawled on the floor at the feet of the girl he had once claimed to love.

Through the haze of pain and humiliation, Dream could hear the taunting words of his former friends, their voices joining the cruel mockery that surrounded him. He could see the triumphant grin on Alex's face, the possessive arm he wrapped around Eri's waist as she looked down at Dream with a look of utter disdain and loathing.

In that moment, Dream knew that he had truly lost her, that the girl he had once thought he could never live without now saw him as nothing more than a pathetic, worthless creature unworthy of her time.

At that time Dream thought to himself...

"What.... did I do wrong"

"Why... is this happening to me"

"Am... I really... that bad"

As these words filled his head Dream staggered to his feet, his head pounding and his vision blurred from the noices that were filling his head. Blood trickled down his forehead, dripping onto the polished floor as he stumbled away from the horrifying scene. The cruel laughter and taunts of his former friends echoed in his ears, a laughter that seemed to grow louder with each step he took.

As he fled the party, Dream glanced back one last time, his eyes drawn to the sight of Eri and Alex locked in a passionate embrace. Dream's heart shatter into a million jagged pieces. It was clear that they were lost in their own world, consumed by the intensity of their love and lust for one another.

The sight of them together, the way their bodies molded and moved in perfect sync, drove the final nail into the coffin of Dream's shattered hopes. He knew now, with a grim and inescapable certainty, that he had truly lost Eri forever. The girl he had once thought he could never live without now belonged to another, her heart and her body claimed by a man who knew how to appreciate and cherish her in a way that Dream never could because he had now accepted that....

He wasnt good enough not for her, not for his family, not for his friends..... he accepted it he was a bad man now..... as everyone claimed him to be.

As he emerged into the cool night air, Dream knew that he was truly alone, a broken and shattered shell of the man he had once been. The love of his life was gone, his friends had turned their backs on him, and he had no one to blame but himself.

So he kept on walking and walking on this endless cold road... only if he could know what was to come After he left.

After Dream left Eri and alex ket kissing until he slowly pulled away from her.

"Eri"

"Yes.... love"

Eri voice was filled with love for his partner the perfect man, the ideal man her first crush.

"I have gotta say"

"What"

"You are pretty dumb right"

As he said that eri kept smiling not having registered what he said we'll wat he said came out of teh blue to..

As she processed what he said her smile slowly died down as she pounted and asked him.

"That's mean you know"

"No literally you arent the quickest tool in the box right"

"Why are you saying such mean things Alex!!"

She asked him now completely confused, wondering if she did something wrong.

"Dream"

"Why are you bringing that bastard up now alex"

"No the voice recording I showed you never mentioned who Dream was saying all those things about right"

Suddenly the voice around the quited down.

"Wh-what do you mean" As she searched her memory for if there was a noice in the recording or not she remembered.

"No-no there wasn't any name mentioned by him"

"But why are you saying all these things now Alex"

"We don't need to remember that bastard now so why are you bringing all these things up"

Suddenly Alex grinned as he saw her in such confusion.

"If he didn't mention a name why did you think it was about you what he was saying"

"What do you Mean ofcourse it was about me !! It was you who said that you wouldn't lie to me right"

Eri started connecting the hints given to her by Alex as her face contorted in fear..

"Right ?"

Suddenly Alex pushed Eri away from himself and he took out his phone and played teh recording again.

"You know Eri when someone's loves someone else a lot they tend to believe them more to"

"Even more if they are handsome, smart, popular, rich etc etc"

"You loved me a lot Eri at that time... even when you were with"

"Dream"

Eri starting understanding what he was hinting at, at which she started stumbling back.

"What ??"

"You wouldny do something like that you love me right.... I love you Alex..... I know you can't do something so.... cruel to me"

Suddenly someone tripped her because of which eri fell on the floor right in teh place where just now Dream was being humiliated at.

After falling onto the floor she sat up slowly that's when she saw Elsa of all people hugging Alex.

"Whats she doing with you Alex, she is the bitch who used to bully me !!"

"Oh looks like the teddy bear freak has grown a tongue hahaha"

Suddenly Rebecca emerged from behind Alex with Sam

"Yeah that right Elsa looks who's scared now bitch"

"Yeah reb not so tough now without your saviour"

At seeing all of them together with Alex she started hyperventilating the fear of them which had disappeared from Germany life a month ago appeared again.

"Alex what.... are you doing with them"

As they heard her ask this the three girls broke out in a laughter

"You see bitch this right here is mine and Sam's brother !!"

As she heard her answer her she grew silent dazzled even like she had been peirced by a hundred needles

Suddenly Alex silenced them as he kneeled to eri's level.

"You know who misaal was talking about in that video it wasn't you eri"

She grinned like a hunter who had caught his prey

"He was talking about Elsa you dumb fuck"

This broke the dam as large tears fled her eyes she didn't know how to respond.

"You love me Alex right"

Alex took her hand in his as he answered her in a gentle tone.

"Never"

This was the final straw Eri quickly slapped Alex her hand ringing from the pain of slapping him

As Alex touched his face where eri had slapped him

He quickly punched eri in the gut

"YOU DUMB BITCH HOW DARE YOU TRY TO HURT MY FACE!!"

The three girls started kicking her too this beating made her nose bleed her head spin all while other spectated her getting beaten some girls even laughed at her who were jealous that she was with Alex.

Those girls even started laughing at her this was truly a beautiful sight for them to behold.

After some time they stopped beating her as alex looked down apon her. He styled his hair back.

"You were fun to play with but don't think you are at my level now"

"And you and your EX boyfriend thought you will get away from scaring my sister oh how wring you two were"

As eri stumbled up her face was filled with tears and blood as she looked at him with her glassy eyes she asked him.

"Why"

"Why did you do this to me, all because he stopped your sister from bullying me"

"All because i loved hi-"

Suddenly she remembered about Dream all that she and everyone else had done to him.

She was filled with guilt.

"Did..... Did... dream love me"

Suddenly Alex broke out in a manic laughter

"Oh that stupid piece of shit might be the only one capable to loving some one as idiotic as you"

"Well I should say he did but I don't know if he would now after what you di-"

As soon as she heard that she raced out of the hall past every one, past Alex, past Elsa only to catch up to Dream.

Eri ran.

She didn't know how long she had been running or how far she had gone. All she knew was that the cruel laughter of Alex and his friends still rang in her ears, cutting deeper than any wound. Her breath came in ragged gasps as tears streamed down her face, blurring the streetlights into streaks of gold and shadow. She had been a fool. A blind, stupid girl who had trusted the wrong people and thrown away the only person who had ever truly loved her.

"Dream"

The name broke from her lips in a trembling whisper as she searched the empty streets. She had to find him. Had to tell him how sorry she was. Had to beg him to forgive her for everything she had done.

She remembered what Alex had said that Dream had always loved her still loved her after everything she did but who knows about now.

But she still hoped he still loved her.

As fate would have it, she saw him.

Across the road, under the dim glow of the streetlights, Misaal was walking alone. To Eri, he looked like a miracle—like the last piece of hope left in a world that had already fallen apart. A sob of relief escaped her as she ran toward him, her heart pounding with desperate joy and unbearable regret.

"Dream!" she cried.

She didn't see the car.

The headlights cut through the darkness, fast and blinding. Eri was so focused on reaching him—on throwing herself into his arms and telling him she was sorry—that she never noticed the danger rushing toward them.

But Dream did.

His eyes widened as he saw the vehicle speeding straight toward her. Without hesitation, he lunged forward, grabbing Eri and shoving her away with all the strength he had. She fell back onto the sidewalk, falling hard—but alive.

Pain exploded across her shoulder and hip, but it was nothing—nothing—compared to the sound that followed.

A second, wetter impact. Flesh against metal. Bone splintering like dry wood. The dull, final thud of a body hitting asphalt.

"Dream...."

He lay in the middle of the road, twisted at an angle no living person could survive. His lower half was… wrong. Unnatural. The car had torn him nearly in two; his legs were folded backward beneath him, hips crushed, pelvis shattered into fragments that glistened wetly under the streetlights. A thick, dark river of blood poured from the ruin of his abdomen, spreading in a widening pool that reflected the spinning red-and-blue lights of the fleeing car's taillights. Loops of intestine, pale and glistening, had spilled out like obscene ropes, steaming in the cold night air.

His face—oh God, his face.

The man she had betrayed, the man who had loved her when no one else would, stared up at the starless sky with eyes that would never close again.

Eri screamed

It wasn't a human sound. It was something primal, something torn from the deepest part of her soul—an animal wail of agony that scraped her throat raw. She crawled toward him on shredded knees, palms slipping in the warm, sticky lake of his blood.

"Dream—no—no—no—please—"

As she reached him, a choked, strangled sob tore from her throat. She gathered his upper half to her chest, cradling his head against her breasts as if to shield him from the horrific fate that had befallen him. Tears streamed down her face, blurring her vision and making Dream's broken form a hazy, indistinct shape through the glittering tears.

She pressed her cheek to his, feeling the cooling wetness of his blood smear across her face. His skin was already losing its warmth.

"I'm sorry," she sobbed, voice breaking into shards.

"I'm so sorry, Dream, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry—"

The words spilled out in a frantic litany, each one more desperate than the last. She rocked him gently, as if he were only sleeping, as if love could stitch his body back together.

His blood soaked her shirt, her hands, her body. She clutched fistfuls of his torn jacket, trying to hold the pieces of him together, trying to keep his life from leaking out between her trembling fingers.

"Please don't leave me," she whispered against his ear, her tears falling into his hair, mixing with the blood. "Please, God, don't take him. Not like this. Not because of me. I was wrong—I was so wrong—please, I'll do anything, I'll give anything, just let him breathe again—"

Behind her, faint voices called her name—impossible, ghostly voices. She turned her head, vision swimming through tears, and saw them standing in the blood-soaked street: her parents, pale and translucent, their faces etched with sorrow and accusation. They looked at her the way they had the night they died—the night she had survived and they hadn't. The same disappointment. The same silent question: How could you let this happen again?

"Mom... dad...."

"Look at what you've done, my dear sweet girl. Look at the destruction you've wrought. This is the price of your folishness- this is what happens to all you love and betray."

Her father stepped forward, his cold, grave-like hand brushing her tear-streaked cheek. "This is the path you've chosen, child," he said solemnly, eyes filled with crushing disapproval.

"This is all your fault only yours"

Eri could only stare at them, mouth agape, strangled sobs tearing from her raw throat. "Mom… Dad… I'm sorry," she whispered, voice broken beyond repair.

"I'm so sorry. I never meant for this… I never wanted this." Fresh tears streamed down her face as she clutched Dream closer, shaking her head in futile denial. "No… this isn't what I wanted. Please…"

But they offered no comfort, only hate, anger and disappointed

And between this guilt shefelt something something warm the dove necklace that fell from Dream's neck onto hers.

It was like a gesture a gesture by Dream to comfort her even in death.

This reminded her of all the kinds acts done by Dream for her and this filled her with hope and love.

"He..... didnt hate me"

Thus silenced the ghosts as she looked at them with her tear streaked face filled with determination

"He loved me"

"And you can't tell me otherwise"

"And I will always love him to !!! That I promise"

As she said that slowly teh ghosts disappeared

"Good girl"

Suddenly Eri woke up .

She was in a hospital nurses walking around her hand connected to a stand providing her with medicine

And next to her bed layed Dream completely fine. At which Eri was confused.

"Ehh"
