Chapter 109 - Mogu

After entering the Mogu'shan Palace, Arthas brought Sinestra along and immediately started causing destruction.

Following the stairs, one could reach the very bottom, where there were often sturdy fortress secret chambers.

Sinestra was responsible for casting elemental magic, automatically separating the solid rock, while Arthas hacked at the barrier with his sword, striking rapidly back and forth.

The energy supporting the barrier was rapidly consumed, finally disappearing with a sound like a shattering mirror.

The man and the dragon worked in perfect harmony, finding and violently breaking any restriction that stood in their way.

Even stone guardian golems met an instant dismemberment at Arthas' hands.

If those archaeologists were to witness this scene, they would undoubtedly shout and fuss, stroking their beards and glaring.

It was truly crude to the extreme, without a shred of civility.

Is this archaeology? What fun is there in exploring like this?

Only weaklings need to search for keys, solve puzzles, and waste a lot of time going in circles only to fail to break through the protective barrier.

As they delved deeper, before the final palace, a Pandaren stood there, with a long and steady aura, dressed as a monk wearing a bamboo hat.

The aura he exuded was far more powerful than that of Zhu Quanfeng, the leader of the Shado-Pan, almost comparable to a demigod.

"My lord, you should not have come. The evil here is something even a demigod cannot withstand."

With that, he assumed a starting stance similar to Wing Chun, for monks learn skills.

They might not know skills like Tai Chi, Wing Chun, or Bajiquan's Baji Beng, but generally, they were not too different.

There were techniques for deflecting force, movement skills for dodging, and violent skills, which was also how they ended their enslavement.

It was evident that this Pandaren guard knew he couldn't dissuade the other party and a fight was unavoidable, so he didn't waste any more words.

Sinestra, meanwhile, was observing the large door behind him; it had a distinct and obvious Titan style, looking bright and orderly, which was characteristic of Titan design.

The Titans represented order; everything served order, and chaotic existence was the most annoying thing to them.

Correspondingly, there would also be a key or a control panel to open the door here.

She happened to have extensive research on Titan facilities, with black dragons being the most frequent subject of study.

Deathwing used Titan facilities to create the dragonkin race, also known as Dracthyr, to combat external enemies.

Influenced by him, she also enjoyed studying Titan facilities, merely intending to decipher them and find treasures or artifacts within.

No dragon dislikes shiny things; expensive metal and jade not only make for accessories that aid in combat but also provide aesthetic beauty.

"Master, the guard should have information related to the key on him. Forcibly opening the door might trigger alarms and countermeasures."

Sinestra felt very uncomfortable; behind the door, there seemed to be an extremely Fel presence that made her feel disgusted and nauseous.

It seemed this scent had also been present on Deathwing, but it was fleeting, not lasting long, even making her wonder if her senses were mistaken.

Now it seemed that Deathwing had probably already pledged allegiance to the Old Gods, which was why there was such a disgusting, foul energy smell.

Unless absolutely necessary, Arthas did not want to kill; although it was an exaggeration to say his strength could conquer Pandaria, no one could stop him if he wanted to leave.

Coupled with his innate fondness for Pandaren, perhaps seeing creatures from his homeland here brought a slight sense of comfort.

Moreover, over the past three days, he had discovered during his training that the Shado-Pan had not held back; they would teach him anything he wished to learn.

Perhaps they thought gaining a demigod's allegiance would benefit them, or perhaps it was a request from the White Tiger demigod?

In any case, judge by actions, not intentions; no matter what they thought, they had not harmed him.

Putting himself in their shoes, he couldn't possibly go on a rampage, killing innocent Pandaren.

But even if he defeated the opponent, given such a person's character, they would likely not back down, pressing him repeatedly unless he killed them!

He rubbed his head, feeling a bit conflicted.

Suddenly, he thought of something, and a mischievous smile played on his lips.

He reached out and flicked his hand at the Pandaren guard, and an invisible Fel energy suppressed the opponent, forcing him into sleep. This was the skill he had learned earlier, Hypnosis.

This was one of the few control skills, effective for up to ten minutes; any damage taken during this time would awaken him and cause a psychic tearing attack.

If he wasn't harmed, he would obediently sleep for ten minutes, and it could be 'refilled' for free; theoretically, he could sleep indefinitely.

Sinestra was just explaining how to deal with the stubborn guard when she saw him slump his head, and a snore emanated, appearing very peculiar.

"He's asleep?"

"Perhaps he's using this method to avoid fighting, so he can still report back to the Shado-Pan."

Arthas shrugged; this was his doing.

Wait, what if this method was used on women?

Hiss, that would be truly overbearing; a sleeping woman is defenseless, wouldn't that mean one could do whatever one pleased?

Fortunately, he was a good person, not the kind of guy who became immobile at the sight of women, otherwise, he would surely be tempted to do bad things.

He subtly glanced at the black-haired elf beside him; her attire was indeed somewhat unique, and even though she was dressed modestly, her graceful figure was still visible, her slightly swaying hips very alluring.

Sinestra noticed her Master's gaze, turned, and gave a charming smile, a pleased curve on her lips.

"Master, how about we find some fun after we finish our business?"

Giving in was certainly an option, but it couldn't delay serious matters; although the location was stimulating, there was a Pandaren who might wake up at any time, so it was better to be a bit more restrained.

A mature woman is sensible, subtly reminding the man to attend to business and temporarily abandon the behavior of the 'little head' controlling the 'big head'.

"Cough, cough, what are you thinking? I know now isn't the time. You go find the key; I'll watch him here."

Arthas was a bit embarrassed, rubbing his nose and turning to look elsewhere.

This awkward gesture made Sinestra smile knowingly; her Master had a habit, which was always to rub his nose when he felt embarrassed.

He was already a demigod, yet sometimes he still acted like a young man.

There was nothing wrong with that; a cold Master was indeed handsome.

But such a Master had more human warmth, didn't he?

She stepped forward, used magic to investigate, and then took a string of keys from behind the guard.

She found a treasure chest hidden in the stone nearby, opened it with a key, and inside lay a fragment.

Picking it up and examining it carefully, in just a moment, Sinestra knew what was going on.

This must be an item to open the door, but it had been divided into several fragments, and this was just one of them.
