The demon's claws elongated into longer dirty talons. His fangs protruded out of his mouth , his eyes burning crimson red. And then he charged at them. They both moved back simultaneously as the man's hands kept swinging at them. Their movements were fast, mostly teleporting from one spot to another. And then the two brothers began to attack him. Ryan slit his throat with his talons, but they immediately healed. Zayden too did the same to his arm, but they just heal too fast.
""You just be ancient" Ryan smirked, and then increased his speed. He was ferociously clawing at him, but the demon easily dodged his lethal claws. Swinging his back. They kicked and punched at each other, and Ryan was just smirking. He like the intensity of the fight. Zayden on the other hand was disheartened. He is also here. Why not fight with him. The demon was only focused on Ryan since he's the main meal. But Zayden doesn't like that. He became more angry when Ryan was scratched on his arm, and then he too charged at the demon from behind, digging his talons in his back and then pulling it out swiftly. The man turned and swung his hand, but Zayden just dodged by teleporting and appearing behind him. He fought from behind, while Ryan fought from the front.
Two against one, it's lethal. But even still they couldn't kill this ancient demon. Ryan had only one choice now and his jaws clenched hard. The beast took control, his fangs and talons grew longer. His face and body went more scarred and his muscles ripped. He groaned out, his eyes burning like molten fiery orbs. His pupils and iris could barely be seen, and his lips were blood red. But even at that, he didn't go berserk. He still had his rationality. His hands... He held a ball of fire, and then he threw it at him. He dodged, and the fire burned the forest. Ryan kept on throwing balls of fire while Zayden clawed at him. A ball met his arm. He burned and groaned in agony, but then healed. The forest too burned, the trees fell and dark smoke covered the place. They didn't stop, they continued.
The two brothers were getting irked by this demon's healing ability. He is powerful. And it's so damn irksome. Finally, from the dark smokes, Ryan emerged and grabbed his neck as his talons reached for his throat. And then his other hand pierced through his chest, his ribs ripped apart, and then the heart was pulled out. He got bathe in blood, filthy blood. The demon staggered backwards while watching blood pumping out of his chest and his heart in Ryan's hands. He groaned out, feeling his body burn due to Ryan's burning lethal gaze. He was set on fire just by Ryan looking at him and he turned into ash, and so was his heart.
Zayden was horrified. He only saw Ryan once like this, and it was a bad experience. He dare not go close to him. He might not recognise his own brother. Ryan lifted his head and looked up, and then he looked at Zayden. Zayden stumbled backwards thinking he would attack him.
"What are you afraid of? Let's go, they're coming" and just like that he jumped on the trees and leaped away.
"Eh? What was that?" he heard the sirens, and then he understood. He too followed Ryan to wherever he went. Their speed was fast, they were nothing but a blur. Leaping from one tree to another until Ryan stopped at the top of a hill. Zayden stopped too and stood behind him. He was scared, he was. Ryan turned and looked at him, he almost fainted at his horrifying brother. But thankfully, Ryan's eyes went back to being gold and not burning flames.
"B-brother? A-are you there?" he asked.
"If you don't stop behaving like that, I'll kill you" Ryan warned and Zayden gulped down in relief.
"You... Can't you go back to normal self? You're scaring me"
"I can't. It takes a few hours. Besides, I still have to confront that man" Ryan told him. And that moment, cold air swept passed them. And he appeared.
"Welcome. You've just saved us from coming to look for you" Zayden said as he smiled at him. But his gaze was just fixed on Ryan.
"I see you let the beast out" he said to him. "Well, I just had to come and do the job she rejected. Now I'm in a dilemma if I should kill you or the prince."
"Oh what's this about. We don't want to fight you. Let's do some negotiations here" Zayden spoke nonchalantly.
"Why negotiate with a demon who killed your gem?" Ryan spoke, and Zayden corrected with the words "Tried to"
"You're in love with a human who doesn't know what you are. Should I tell her?" Jang Han Seok asked, smirking at their facial expressions. Ryan thought he was in the same boat, that Ari doesn't know. It would be bad if she hears it from him.
"Why should you? If there's anyone to tell her, it's me" Zayden made it clear and the man just smirked.
"Why cause her fears and nightmares?" Ryan asked and Han Seok looked at him.
"Ah...that? It wasn't me. It was you" he told him, and Ryan frowned.
"What do you mean?"
"As long as she's with you, she would be miserable. We would make her life miserable. And you're not an exception." he smirked.
"Do not think you can use that against me" Ryan said.
"Oh no! I'm just telling you. Either of you are supposed to die" he took a few steps to the side with his hands in pockets "Since we can't kill you we'll kill her"
"Why?!"
"It's simple. She's human, and with you"
"Stop it. Stop troubling her"
"Maybe I should kill you" Zayden butted in.
"Haha, that would nice. But do you think that if I die now it would stop them from trying to kill her? Or trying to use her?" he referred to both of them. "No. They won't stop, until you die, half breed"
"Leave her out of this!" Ryan was getting angrier, but he controlled himself.
"You pulled her in by falling for her. Both of you did. And, it is either she dies by your hands or by ours. Or maybe she'll kill you instead. Who knows?" he just shrugged.
"What are you implying?" Ryan asked him.
"Look at you. Do you think you can keep controlling the demon that always creep up to the surface and want to take full control over you? Your pain... it's gets worse by the day, isn't that so? One of these days, you would lose control and... even kill her"
"I don't buy that" Zayden roared out, infuriated. "Who do you think you are? What are you trying to do?"
"Inflicting fear" he simply said. "You both can't be together. You're... half demon and she's human. You don't intend to bear another half breed, do you?"
"So that's your problem, huh?" Zayden spoke. "Don't worry, it won't be a half breed"
"Just stop the nightmares" Ryan spoke, looking downwards while his hands clenched and his talons pierced into his palm.
"It won't stop. Until she succumbs. That would be tough though, she really is strong."
"Fine. Kill me right here and now, and stop bothering her"
