XAVIER'S POV
It had been two days since the search began. Still, there was no lead on her disappearance. I was tracking every member of the mercenary team. At this point, I was willing to slaughter the guilty and the innocent alike just to extract the information I needed.
The trail led me to the home of a man who owned a modest coffee shop at the mall. I had been keeping tabs on him since my last kill. Today, I finally located his sanctuary.
I signaled my guards to surround the house from the perimeter to the roof. Tucking my gun into my waistband, I approached the front door. I sighed, briefly kissing the wooden cross in my hand before tucking it beneath my shirt. I knocked lightly.
"I'm coming;" a female voice called from inside. "Anna, sit down and don't injure your brother!"
The door opened to reveal a woman with red hair and bright brown eyes; eyes that looked painfully like Allura's. I flashed a warm, manufactured smile. She raised a brow, looking confused. "Who are you?"
