Chapter 2 - Chapter Tw0: The Journey to Gokula

Vasudev decided in his mind to depart, carrying along with him his son, away from the delivery room, out of the dark prison he was held in. Through Yogamaya's influence, all the doorkeepers, guards, and members stationed within the castle were deprived of their senses and immersed in deep slumber. As Vasudev goes ahead, all the gigantic doors with iron bars and iron chains, which were securely closed and unbreakable for Vareths (mortals of rank: Karthon and rank: Ascended), within that fortress, open magically, leading to the steps going outside. The clouds are showering heavy rains, stormy winds, and resounding thunder. Ananta (Adi Sesha - The Eternal Serpent) spreads His heads over Vasudev. Ananta had 1000 heads in total, but only manifested 5 at that moment, as that was what Krushn needed. As Lord Indra was showering torrential rains incessantly, a huge flood occurred on the river Yamuna. Indra, buddy, I get it. But torrential rain? During a jailbreak? Read the room, sir! Whirlpools, huge, fierce tides, opened up and gave way to Vasudev and Krushn, followed by Ananta, just like when the ocean gave way to Shri Rama when he went to Lanka. Vasudev reached Nandagopa's house safely after crossing the flooded Yamuna. Upon reaching Gokula, Vasudev could see all the Gopa people, fast asleep, due to the impact of Yoga Maya. And after placing his son on Yashoda's bed, he picks up the baby girl born to Yashoda and returns to his place. Vasudev places that baby girl child on the bed of Devaki, closes the doors, and ties himself up on his legs with iron shackles as if he never moved from there.

Btw, it was Massive! Yeah, the serpent - a cobra, spreading its five heads over Vasudev and Krushn like an umbrella. Ananta with 1000 heads? Thank God he only brought five today! A full set would've flattened Mathura into a pizza!!

Upon hearing the newborn baby's cries, the guards awoke from their slumber. They ran straight to Kamsa and informed him about the birth of the eighth child. Kamsa got up from his bed, in a flash, and became overwhelmingly disturbed. He moved so fast to the labour room, stumbling upon whatever came in front of him while his long, tied hair scattered waywardly as he moved. "Brother! Many of our children who were equal to that of fire have been killed already by you. Please, at least spare this little girl for me!" Said Devaki. Kamsa, who was devoid of any love and affection because of his own selfishness, picks up the newly born baby girl by the feet, and... Smash!! Blood splattered all over the stone wall! But no! No Blood!! The wall broke when Kamsa hit it with his fist, but the child in his hands is gone. That divine child, who was none other than the younger sister of Krushn Himself, immediately slipped away from Kamsa's hands and rose high, just below the very high ceiling, with her 8 arms holding various weapons. Decorated with silk garments and beautiful garlands of flowers, kumkum on her forehead, adorning various precious jewels of pearls and gems, holding a bow, a sulam, an arrow, a sword, a shield, conch shells, a club, and a disc. "FOOL! What is the use of killing me? Do not kill innocent children unnecessarily! Your killer and your enemy from your previous birth has already been born somewhere!" Said to Kamsa, the Devi (Goddess) personified in the form of Durga. Kamsa, wonder-struck, then liberated both Devaki and Vasudev from arrest, and said, "The sinner that I am, so many children of yours were killed by me! Fortunate ones!! Please condone my cruel deeds! Good human beings show mercy towards others."

He finally showed emotion. Beautiful, poetic—oh no wait, he's just having a meltdown. Yo bro, you remember that word now!! I didn't even know that 'mercy' was a part of your vocabulary! Such a hypocrite, man!!And what's up with those tears!! You're CRYIN'!! A chameleon in human form, and a masterpiece of failure at that.

After that night, Kamsa called his ministers and told them about Yog Maya Devi (Goddess), who had manifested as Durga. He also explained that the 8th child had been relocated, and he had to kill him. These ministers were demons who didn't have enough brain cells to comprehend what they just heard. Moreover, they were basically against the Gods. But from what they interpreted, all of them got angry and replied to him, "Your majesty, if that is so, we are going to kill all those children who were born within these ten days, and who are yet to complete ten days of their birth. Right away, in the towns, villages, and the streets in which the gopas live, and at all other places." "What can Vishnu possibly do when he's hiding around somewhere? How can Shiva possibly intervene when he is staying in the forest? What is it to fear from Indra, when he has lost all his valour!!?? And what can Brahma even do when he is always indulging in the penance??" 'Yeah! Let's do it!!' was their conclusion.

And thus, the court of Kamsa, or I must say - the Abyss of Absurdity, bravely charged towards their doom, beautifully exhibiting their intellectual bankruptcy.

Nandagopa's wife, Yashoda, could realize only this much that she had given birth, because of her tiredness due to labour pains, and also because of the impact of the Yoga Maya. Hence, she couldn't fathom whether she had given birth to a boy or a girl. Nanda, happy for the birth of his child, woke the next day, took a bath, and dressed up. He invited the Brahmins who were knowledgeable in the field of astrology and scriptures, like the Vedas, for the celebration of the birth of his son. He made them chant the Vedic hymns, as the ritual goes. Nanda gave 200,000 cows, 7 "Mountain Measures" of grains (roughly 850kg), apart from jewels and clothes embroidered with gold. All the menfolk of Gokula, fully dressed in costly attire, turbans, and stuff, reached Nanda's house happily carrying many presents. Upon hearing about Yashoda having had a son recently, the Gopa womenfolk presented themselves with brightness in their faces because of the radiation of the saffron from the newly grown kunkum flower applied on their foreheads; they had healthy hips, and exhibiting the womanly beauty, they had overflowing breasts, which could be seen rushing to the house of Nandagopa, carrying with them various presents and such. There echoed a musical choir and resounding musical beats from various instruments.

The young Gopa men and children celebrated in their own way with happiness, as they pushed and bumped into one another playfully, smearing each other's faces with freshly made butter, splashing at each other curd, milk, ghee, water, etc. From that day onwards, from the day of the arrival of Krushn, the Gokula of Nandagopa became a place full of prosperity par excellence.

After a few days, Nandagopa went to Mathura to pay the yearly customary taxes of his region to Kamsa, entrusting the responsibility of protecting Gokula to his cowherd men. Vasudev, having heard that his brother was in Mathura, reached the place where Nanda was staying.

Nanda was born to the uncle of Vasudev; therefore, Nanda is like a brother to Vasudev.

Nanda, upon the arrival of Vasudev, was overwhelmed with love and brotherly affection and got up instantly, as if a sleeping person woke and embraced him with both his hands. Being welcomed endearingly and honoured respectfully, Vasudev sat happily and with keen interest towards his sons, and said, "Congratulations!! Very fortunate for you to have a son, when you had given up on the very idea of having your own progeny, thinking that you had become old." Nanda smiled, as if saying, "You didn't have to bring that up!" Vasudev continued, "Great for me to see you progressing yourself. As if you have taken a new birth!!" Then began the boring chat, asking about the children and family stuff (Skipped it). After having this wholesome conversation with Vasudev, Nanda took his leave and went back to Gokula.
