Chapter 127 - War Of The Gods

Seemingly oblivious to the earlier mockery, he waved his hand magnanimously and said: "Fine, I'll let you, young man, see the ability of the Chief Instructor at the Marine Headquarters!"

With that, under Ian's watchful gaze and Crocodile's curiosity, he walked up to Enel.

Especially Crocodile... He was incredibly curious about what this renowned Marine Instructor at the Marine Headquarters would do.

After all, this guy, Enel, his mind wasn't like a normal person's; he couldn't understand what people were saying at all.

Not only did he think he was God of Thunder, but he also considered himself the God of Sand. He even had a foul mouth, the kind of thing that could offend people; otherwise, he wouldn't have just shut the guy up.

At this moment, Zephyr's face returned to its benevolent smile, and he even bent down to look at Enel: "Boy, listen to me first..."

"Old mortal, I've already said you're not qualified to speak to me."

Before Zephyr could finish, Enel interrupted him, his tone disdainful and mocking: "If it weren't for the God of Sand being here, you wouldn't even have the right to see me..."

Thump!

Zephyr seemed to have reached his limit. The benevolent smile on his face vanished instantly at Enel's words.

His right hand was instantly covered in Armament Haki, and he slammed it down on Enel's head without hesitation, who was still babbling on.

"Can't you let me finish what I have to say?"

A bump immediately swelled up on Enel's head.

At this moment, everyone silently watched Zephyr, the renowned Chief Instructor at the Marine Headquarters.

But Zephyr paid no heed, as if the surrounding gazes were nonexistent.

Hands on his hips, he threw his head back and laughed heartily, displaying the air of a master teacher. "Hahaha, not bad, stubborn enough, truly a stubborn fool!"

Then, he looked with satisfaction at the now-quiet Enel. "With such meager strength, he dares to be so arrogant. That guy, Crocodile, was right, he really is a fool!"

"Old mortal, what are you saying?"

This merciless rebuke enraged Enel, who had a large bump on his head.

"If it weren't for the God of Sand's sneak attack, how could I have been defeated?"

"Damn it, I'm starting to get angry again!"

Hearing Enel's words, Crocodile rolled up his sleeves again, about to go and continue beating Enel.

"A defeat is a defeat, no matter the reason. You've lost. Not even having the courage to admit your failure makes you a coward."

Zephyr's disdainful words immediately made Crocodile stop, his eyes narrowing as he looked at Zephyr.

As expected, Zephyr continued: "You're still not convinced, kid?"

"Of course, I am the God of Thunder!"

"Alright, I'll give you a chance!"

Hearing Enel's words, Zephyr narrowed his eyes, but a cheerful smile appeared on his face, and he said, "I'll give you another chance to fight the God of Sand."

"Hahaha, you old mortal, are you serious?"

"I never lie!"

Zephyr said cheerfully. "Of course, there's a condition. If you lose again, you'll have to listen to me!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Enel frowned and fell silent.

Ian leaned close to Zephyr and whispered, "This guy's Devil Fruit abilities are quite troublesome. If he runs away, catching him again won't be so easy!"

"What? You're saying this self-proclaimed God is a coward?"

Ian: "...?"

Is that what he meant?

"Not just a coward, but untrustworthy as well?"

Despite Ian not speaking further, Zephyr nodded seriously.

"A guy who calls himself a God, even if his strength seems average, can't be so lacking in magnanimity!"

"Enough! Foolish humans, you have no idea of my power!"

Enel, openly mocked, couldn't hold back any longer and glared angrily at Ian: "How dare you, a mere mortal, dare to question the magnanimity of a God!"

Ian: "..."

"This guy's got something definitely wrong with his head!"

But just as Ian was bewildered, Enel turned to Zephyr with a disdainful smile on his face: "Mortals dare to command Gods? Ha, truly pathetic, but this God accepts it."

Zephyr raised an eyelid, but still smiled, saying: "Then it's settled, Enel, the God of Thunder! Ian, release this guy!"

Seeing that Zephyr had made up his mind, Ian didn't hesitate; he sighed and signaled Ace to unlock the handcuffs.

At that moment, under everyone's gaze, as Ace unlocked the handcuffs, Enel, feeling his power return, stood up again.

His injuries instantly healed, and he raised his head high, laughing loudly: "Yahahah, my power has returned!"

His ridiculous arrogance, exclusive to the so-called God of Thunder, returned in full.

"I will let you mortals see the power of a God with your own eyes, and I will punish you blasphemous mortals with the ultimate penalty."

Everyone: "..."

This scene silenced everyone once again, even Zephyr, who had been all smiles, fell silent with a dark expression.

Before anyone could say anything, Enel tilted his head again and glared at Crocodile with extreme arrogance and anger: "God of Sand, you will pay the price for your foolish act of starting a war among Gods!"

"Hiss!"

Zephyr seemed to finally lose his temper, gasping for breath, looking at Ian with a speechless expression, and said, "I originally thought he was just a somewhat arrogant guy, but I didn't expect him to be such a moron."

Arrogance is fine; possessing the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, this guy certainly has the right to be proud, but a moron... In all his years as the Chief Instructor at the Marine Headquarters, he had never taught anyone like this!

"Didn't I just say that?"

Ian rolled his eyes helplessly while saying irritably: "You should think about what you're going to do later!"

Enel didn't care about their conversation, or rather, how could the conversation of mere mortals affect him, a God?

Now, the only one he could look upon was Crocodile, who was also a God.

"God of Sand, come and fight me!"

Enel laughed maniacally, his eyes blazing with madness as he stared at Crocodile.

"I'll let you regret your ignorant act of starting a war between Gods!"

As soon as he finished speaking, dark clouds gathered, thunder roared, and lightning flashed.

Enel, bathed in lightning, was just as he had said... he was the God of Thunder!

However, faced with this spectacular scene, Crocodile, now known as the God of Sand, remained silent for a moment, then looked at Ian and said, "Can't I really kill this guy?"

These contemptuous words enraged Enel, who transformed into a bolt of lightning and charged towards Crocodile.

"Come and fight! God of Sand, the war of the Gods has begun!"
