Electricity crackled through the air.
Enel held his trident with an easy expression, looking at the grave-faced sniper before him.
"I think I know you. The man who abandoned his wife and child."
"I wonder how your wife and son will react when they hear about your death. Oh, right. According to the new military decree Fleet Admiral Raleigh just issued, there is a good chance your wife and son will be forced into hard labor to atone for the crimes you committed."
Enel casually swung the trident in his hand, sending streaks of lightning toward Yasopp like bullets.
Yasopp leapt and dodged while raising the long rifle in his hands to fire back.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Enel frowned.
Although Yasopp had yet to truly injure him, there was no denying that a man who served as the sniper of the Red Hair Pirates was one of the finest marksmen in the world.
Those few bullets had passed almost right beside his head.
And under the cover of those shots, Yasopp had already retreated to a safe enough distance.
"Marine.... going after a man's wife and child cannot possibly be called justice."
Yasopp spoke through gritted teeth.
Hearing this, Enel burst into laughter.
"This Marine order may lack justice in its starting point, but what identity and qualifications do you have to stand here and talk about that?"
"Did the Marines force you to become a pirate?"
"As far as I know, Red-Hair did not do anything back then. He merely asked you one question, and you happily abandoned your wife and child to follow him out to sea. If the Marines had not maintained peace in your region all this time, perhaps your wife and son would have already died at the hands of another group of pirates."
"So what right do you have to question me here?"
The trident in Enel's hand gathered an indescribably terrifying power.
"People like you can only wash away your sins with death."
Boom!
An overwhelming force erupted from the tip of the trident.
A thick bolt of lightning instantly pierced through a group of pirates, its target locked directly onto Yasopp as he raised his rifle.
"Yasopp! Watch out!"
The heavyset Lucky Roux moved with an agility that completely defied his build, slamming into Yasopp from the side.
The two of them were sent flying at once.
When the smoke cleared, lightning still crawled across Lucky Roux's layers of fat, while Yasopp's face had already been scorched black by the electricity.
In midair, the battle between Bullett and Shanks had already reached a white-hot state.
Both of them had once stayed on the same ship and had even exchanged blows in sparring.
Because of that, neither side held anything back from the beginning.
Shanks' slashes were exceptionally fierce, every strike carrying the effect of Conqueror's coating.
The air rippled layer after layer beneath his blade.
The force of their explosions threw the surrounding airflow into chaos, and the cracking booms carried across every corner of the battlefield.
"Your swordsmanship is still a little worse than Captain Roger's, Shanks."
"Not fast enough, and not ruthless enough!"
At this moment, Bullett had already used the power of his Clank-Clank Fruit to merge into an alloy monster more than ten meters tall.
The chain-toothed sword in his hand hacked violently toward Shanks in the air.
As for those painless attacks that struck him, Bullett chose to ignore them directly. After all, his entire body was now covered in armor made from alloy.
A fierce light flashed in Shanks' eyes, and his foot suddenly stamped against the air.
Whoosh!
Shanks vanished from Bullett's sight.
The chainsaw sword tore through the air, creating one spatial crack after another, yet it failed to touch Shanks.
After Bullett's attack missed, Shanks suddenly appeared behind him in an extremely strange state, and Gryphon slashed savagely downward.
Screech!
A sharp sound rang out as a long trail of sparks burst from the back of Bullett's neck.
Bullett felt the pain, but his posture did not change.
That strike failed to seriously injure him. Instead, it only awakened the brutality in his heart.
"Die!"
Bullett's unique demonic aura covered the jagged sword.
A blue-black mass of energy wrapped around the entire blade before Bullett swung it backhanded.
Clang!
With no time to dodge, Shanks could only raise Gryphon to block.
Shanks had only just withstood the first blow and had not yet had time to retreat when Bullett, with astonishing flexibility, swung another strike.
This one chopped down from above.
Crack!
The chainsaw sword and Gryphon collided directly, and Bullett began increasing the force pressing down through his blade.
Shanks had never been a strength-type swordsman, and compared to Bullett, his raw power was far inferior.
If Shanks' own strength had not been formidable enough, Bullett would have already split him in two with that sword.
Now the result depended on which of them could endure longer.
Their bodies fell freely from the sky, while Bullett's sword continued pressing Gryphon downward.
Boom! Boom!
Shanks and Bullett landed one after another. Under the crushing weight of the blade, Shanks' feet were forced deep into the soil by Bullett's enormous strength.
"Shanks!"
Almost at the same time Yasopp called Shanks' name, the rifle in his hands had already fired.
A bullet coated in Armament Haki spun through the air and shot straight toward Bullett's brow.
Crackle!
A bolt of lightning instantly appeared in front of Bullett, and the trident in Enel's hand thrust into the air.
Ding!
The bullet was pierced by Enel's trident, and the projectile dropped to the ground.
At the same time, the members of the Red Hair Pirates collectively rushed toward Shanks, who was being suppressed.
"Let go of our captain!"
"Shanks, we are coming!"
Lucky Roux, Yasopp, Beckman, and the others all abandoned their opponents and moved together to surround Bullett and Enel.
