The restaurant was far more crowded than usual.
Several shinobi stood near the counter eating quickly.
Others were speaking while preparing to leave again.
"…Take the payment fast, we need to move."
"…Eastern sector requested reinforcement too."
"…My daughter will probably come eat here later, I'll pay afterward."
"…Fine, fine, just go already."
Bowls clinked against the counter rapidly.
Steam filled the air.
People moved in and out constantly.
It no longer felt like just a restaurant.
It felt like a temporary stop during an emergency.
Yuji stood behind the counter handling multiple things at once.
Preparing food.
Taking payments.
Answering questions.
Giving directions.
Even his usual calm expression looked sharper now.
The moment he noticed the triplets entering—
his eyes immediately narrowed slightly.
"…Why are you three outside?"
Ayame answered first.
"The academy dismissed us."
Yuji looked relieved for only a second.
Then immediately continued working again.
"…Stay inside until things calm down."
One shinobi nearby stood up while grabbing his equipment.
"…Yuji-san, another patrol unit just got redirected."
Yuji clicked his tongue quietly.
"…Again?"
The shinobi nodded once before rushing back outside.
Haruto looked around nervously.
Everything felt too serious.
Too fast.
Even adults looked unsettled now.
Kaito quietly moved closer toward Ayame unconsciously.
Still holding onto Haruto's sleeve slightly.
Yuji finally placed several bowls onto the counter aggressively fast.
"…Next."
Then without even looking up fully—
he spoke toward the triplets again.
"…Sit down somewhere and stay there."
For the first time—
the triplets fully understood something.
This wasn't just tension anymore.
The entire village had begun moving differently.
