Chapter 105: Heading for Alabasta

Beside her, Marianne held her chin in her hands, staring blankly at Ganyu while murmuring, "So... pretty..."

Hearing this, Ganyu was a bit speechless.

Isn't that Sanji's line? What exactly is this little kid trying to do?

She walked over to the bed and reached out to pat Marianne's little head. "You can be just as pretty when you grow up. Stop dreaming and get up."

Marianne gave a small "Mm," and only then did she slowly crawl out of bed.

.....

Inside the cabin.

The dining table was filled with all kinds of breakfast foods.

Fried eggs, bacon, toast, vegetable salad, hot milk, juice... the variety was so rich it hardly looked like a meal on a pirate ship.

Knowing they would be docking soon, Sanji hadn't held back on the food.

Of course, no matter how much he made, the people on this ship could finish it all.

Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper were gorging themselves, eating with gusto.

Luffy held a sandwich overflowing with meat in one hand, while his other hand reached toward the sausages on the far side of the table. His rubber arm stretched out with a swish, accurately curling around three sausages and stealing them away.

"Hey! Those are mine!" Usopp protested.

"Mmph mmph mmph mmm..." Luffy mumbled something while chewing, his cheeks puffed out like a hamster.

"Idiot, I can't hear a word you're saying!" Usopp shouted helplessly.

Chopper sat in a chair holding a cup of hot milk, stealing glances at Luffy and Usopp's "Battle for Food" every now and then, his eyes shining with curiosity.

Despite being a newcomer, it had only taken him one night to integrate into the ship's atmosphere.

However, currently, he basically only dared to initiate conversations with Ganyu, Luffy, and Usopp. He wasn't very familiar with the others yet.

Especially the green-haired swordsman who had kept watch all night and was already training on the deck early in the morning.

Chopper was somewhat afraid of him, feeling that this man was the most terrifying person on the ship.

He always kept a straight face, carried a sharp, imposing aura, and had three swords hanging at his waist.

Although Ganyu had said he was actually a nice person, Chopper still didn't dare to get close.

On the other side of the table.

Nami was taking small bites of her breakfast while checking the Log Pose on her wrist and the nautical charts spread out on the table. Her brow furrowed and relaxed intermittently.

It wasn't until she smelled a familiar, fresh fragrance and a flash of ice-blue hair entered her peripheral vision that she looked up.

"What's wrong? Is there a problem?"

Ganyu sat down next to Nami. She took a plate full of breakfast that Chopper proactively handed to her, smiled and said "Thank you" to the little reindeer, and then turned her attention to the troubled navigator.

Seeing Ganyu, Nami shook her head and spoke softly.

"We are sailing normally on the route to Alabasta. There aren't any problems."

She paused, unconsciously poking the fried egg on her plate with her fork, her expression darkening slightly.

"It's just... I'm wondering if there's a way to get there a little faster. After all, Vivi's country is already in such chaos... every minute we're delayed, more people might die."

Saying this, she looked at Ganyu with a hint of expectation.

In their past experiences, Ganyu had brought her too many surprises.

Maybe, she could do it this time too.

"I don't have any other way either."

Ganyu shook her head without thinking. "Sailing along this route by ship is already the fastest speed."

"I suppose so."

Nami sighed. She wasn't disappointed; she had only asked with a 'worth a try' attitude.

No matter how amazing Ganyu was, she was still human. She couldn't possibly make the ship fly, right?

Wait... fly?

A lightbulb went off in her head. Nami suddenly stood up, placing both hands on Ganyu's shoulders.

"Ganyu, if you were carrying one person right now, approximately how far could you fly?"

Ganyu's eyes lit up as well; she instantly understood what Nami meant.

She lowered her head in thought for a moment, calculating her elemental energy, flight speed, and the approximate distance to Alabasta in her mind.

Then she looked up at the sky and the sea outside the cabin, her eyes shimmering slightly as if she could see the scene thousands of meters away.

A long silence followed.

Even Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper stopped eating and leaned in curiously.

Ganyu coughed lightly twice before speaking. "Right now, we are about half a day's journey from Alabasta. At my flying speed carrying one person, we could arrive within an hour. It should be... possible."

As soon as her voice fell, Nami clapped her hands in delight.

"That's great!"

"Ganyu, you're amazing!"

"Whoa! Ganyu can fly for that long carrying a person?"

Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper cheered as well.

"Exactly!" Nami said, full of excitement, her speech speeding up. "If Ganyu flies Vivi there right now, they can get back to Alabasta much faster! That way, Vivi can start taking action half a day early!"

The main crisis inside the kingdom right now was the Rebel Army.

And the reason the Rebel Army was rebelling was actually due to the secret manipulation of Baroque Works.

Vivi's plan was to bring back this information, letting both the Royal Army and the Rebel Army know who their true enemy was. That way, the national crisis would be completely resolved.

Of course, regardless of how naive Vivi's thoughts might be, the only thing the Straw Hat Pirates could do to help Vivi at this stage was to get her back to Alabasta.

And with Ganyu's flight ability, she could likely not only deliver Vivi to Alabasta but even fly her directly to the Royal Palace or the Rebel Army headquarters she wanted to reach.

"Nani? You're only taking Vivi?" Luffy shouted in surprise.

"Idiot, what else did you think?" Nami roared, a bit speechless.

Seeing how happy this guy was just now, she had thought his mind was on the same track as hers.

"Why not take a few more?" Luffy scrambled to Ganyu's side, pleading, "Ganyu, take me along too! I want to try it out!"

"Yeah, yeah!" Usopp joined in, gesturing wildly with his hands and feet. "Why not take more people? At least take me and Luffy! How about this: Ganyu carries Vivi on her back, and then Luffy and I each grab one of Ganyu's legs!"

An image of Usopp's description floated into Ganyu's mind:

Me carrying Vivi, flying through the air... with two human-shaped accessories dangling below, each hugging a leg...

Her expression gradually turned strange.

For her, the difference between carrying one person and carrying three wasn't actually that big in terms of weight.

But having two guys hugging her legs... wasn't that a bit too weird?

She thought about it and was just about to refuse when Sanji rushed out of the kitchen. He planted a kick right on Usopp's face, sending him flying.

"Bastard! You actually want to touch Miss Ganyu's legs!"

Sanji cursed furiously at Usopp, then immediately turned around, speaking with great respect and sincerity.

"Miss Ganyu, flight is such a dangerous matter. You absolutely must not take these two idiots with you!"

Ganyu nodded, relieved internally.

With Sanji intervening, she didn't have to awkwardly refuse her two companions herself.

However, in the next second, Sanji volunteered himself, his eyes turning into heart shapes.

"Taking just me is enough! Whether it's one leg or two legs, I'm fine with it..."
