Haley had done the right thing in letting Deacon go. Thanks to her sacrifice, he was still the CEO of Roth Group.
What came with him being safe and free from her was that one day Deacon Roth would move on. As soon as the lawyers finished hashing everything out. She and Deacon would sign on the dotted line and it would be like the six months that they'd had together had never existed.
But for Haley, she just could not let go. She knew that as time passed, Deacon would find somebody else to love. But whether it would be an arranged marriage or one out of love that did not change the fact that Deacon would be married to someone else. She had already let him go physically. Now she had to erase him not only from her thoughts, but from her heart as well. Haley had gone through intense breakups before.
The situation with Prince Victor was a prime example of that. When she had broken up with Victor, Haley had immediately begun erasing him from her life.
