"Ahh..."
After an hour of waiting, the faint moans finally stopped.
A few minutes later, the door of the head doctor's office opened.
Three beautiful nurses in erotic, bloodstained white uniforms came out, their faces flushed and sweating, grinning to show how fully satisfied they were.
Joy came out last, also in a similarly satisfied state.
"The head doctor will see you now," she said while fixing her nurse uniform.
"Let's get this done so we can leave and go home already," Saya said as she stood up from her seat. Her face was visibly blushing in the dimly lit waiting room due to her embarrassment from watching Nach and Shizuka's flirting and hearing the sounds of intimacy from the head doctor and his nurses.
Saya promptly walked toward the head doctor's office upon Joy's invitation—until Nach stood up from his seat while keeping Shizuka in his embrace, grabbing Saya's hand to stop her.
"Don't touch me so casually..." Saya cut her complaint short upon realizing that she was acting a bit careless—going inside a room of a stranger she didn't even know and who was obviously a pervert—just because of her embarrassment.
However, being wary of a stranger wasn't exactly the reason why Nach stopped her.
"You're not exactly thinking of going in there, are you?" Nach said, grinning as he expected Saya to understand what he meant.
"Huh?" Saya paused, unsure whether to be annoyed at Nach's idiotic grin or thankful for his warning.
Seeing Saya completely unaware, Shizuka whispered what Nach couldn't say out loud.
"It's the smell of the room, Takagi-san."
Only then did Saya realize—a room without any working ventilation due to the blackout would obviously be filled with the scent of a man and women after more than an hour of intimacy.
"PERVERT ADULTS!" Saya shouted, completely flustered as she yanked her hand free from Nach's hold and abruptly sat back down.
"I understand... pfft!" Joy laughed while watching Saya's reaction. "I'll tell the head doctor to come out here for the meeting."
***
After a few minutes, the head doctor finally came out of his office carrying a candle lantern.
"I apologize for such a passionate display. I didn't know we had a child with us."
Nach expected a scrawny, brown-skinned, white-haired old man, but the Professor Oak who came to greet them was a total DILF with a muscular build that didn't suit his white lab coat at all.
He was taking care of four nurses, so it should have been obvious...
"Don't treat me like a kid, I already turned 18 this year," Saya retorted, cutting off Nach's playful thoughts, though it only led to another one.
What a convenient plot...
"Are you saying that you have already done it with the man you love?" Oak teased, and Saya ended up speechless at the thought that flashed in her mind.
Not Takashi, but instead Nach's idiotic grin.
She glared at Nach with every intention of aiming her shotgun and pulling the trigger, yet her face remained blushing red.
Satisfied with his teasing, Oak turned his attention back to Shizuka and the man he could only assume was her lover.
"I'm glad that you're safe, Marikawa-san," he said as he sat in front of them, "and that you have found yourself a dependable man in this chaotic undead outbreak."
Oak proceeded with the conversation based on what Joy had told him earlier during his time with the other nurses.
"Chansey told me how overwhelmingly strong you are when eliminating the undead on the ground floor, Nach-san. So I assume you already turned Marikawa into a half-undead to strengthen yourself."
"EHH?"
"Ohh! So it wasn't Marikawa but another lover of yours?"
"HUH?"
Seeing Nach and Shizuka's confused reactions, including Saya's, made Oak realize they clearly had no idea what he was talking about.
"I apologize for the confusion... hahaha."
"We don't have a lot of time, so start explaining what you know about the undead outbreak, old man!" Saya said, slowly losing her temper.
"Then let's start from the beginning, shall we?"
Oak began his story with a familiar topic Nach had heard from a group of men rallying at Onbetsu Bridge the night they stayed at Rika's apartment.
"Have you heard the rumors about the secret military project the Japanese and American governments were working on?"
The project involved the creation of a super soldier serum, an enhancement drug called Corpse Flower.
As the name implied, the Corpse Flower drug was designed to slowly mutate soldiers over years of use and only take effect once the stored energy in their bodies bloomed like a corpse flower.
However, the drug didn't show any signs of mutation in male soldiers, while it showed multiple effects in female soldiers, including increased lustful desire, controlled ovulation, and enhanced physical strength.
It seemed effective at first, but eventually the female soldiers lost their minds to their unquenchable lustful desires and became undead.
"Are you saying those female soldiers caused the outbreak?" Saya asked in disbelief.
"No," Oak replied while staring at the candle lantern, as if regretting the next part. "We put all of them down and ended the project three years ago."
BAM!
Saya slammed both hands on the table.
"Then what caused all this chaos?!"
"Calm down, young lady," Oak replied, taking something from his pocket and placing it on the table.
"This is the cause of the outbreak."
It was a familiar pack of morning-after pills—so familiar that Nach and Shizuka turned pale.
Somehow, the diluted formula of Corpse Flower had spread into the world as a morning-after pill.
"By that look, I assume you've already taken it, Marikawa-san?" Oak said, noticing their expressions.
Not just Shizuka—Kyoko, Saeko, Miku, Yui, and Matsushima had taken it as well, thanks to Nach.
"Are you saying any woman who takes this will become undead?" Saya asked.
"Not exactly... or rather, not immediately," Oak replied.
"Explain it properly, old man!"
Oak continued, pointing to Joy as an example.
Some, like Joy, were miraculously compatible with Corpse Flower. With proper dilution, other women could gain enhanced abilities like the nurses.
"So by taking this, I can gain the strength to fight?" Saya said, picking up the pack.
"I'm not done, young lady," Oak said, then asked a question that instantly embarrassed her. "Why do you think I was taking care of the nurses earlier?"
"Because you're a pervert old man!" Saya shouted.
"Well, I am—but that's not everything."
Nach and Shizuka could already foresee what Oak was about to say. Still, they remained silent and let Saya handle the conversation.
"Once you take Corpse Flower and become half-undead," Oak continued, "you will need regular, satisfying intimacy. Otherwise, you'll lose your mind to your unquenchable lustful desires and become undead."
Hearing this, Saya's gaze instinctively shifted to Nach despite her resistance.
"I mean... even I would feel awkward at first," Nach said, truly flustered for the first time, "but if you're fine with me, then I promise to take care of you—"
CLACK!
Saya quickly reloaded her shotgun and aimed at Nach's face, as fast as Nach could stop her finger from pulling the trigger.
"WHY WOULD I EVEN WANT TO DO IT WITH YOU?!" she shouted, her face completely red from embarrassment and rage.
"Calm down, Saya..."
"DIE, YOU PERVERT!"
"PFFT—HAHAHA!"
Shizuka, Joy, and Oak all laughed as Nach struggled to survive Saya's serious attempt to kill him.
"You have interesting companions, Marikawa-san," Joy said.
"We can't leave the patients, so we can't come with you. But I'll give you a copy of my research on Corpse Flower and the half-undead," Oak added.
"Thank you, Joy-san, Professor Samuel."
BAM!
At that moment, Kohta and Hiro slammed the door open, putting a stop to Nach and Saya's chaotic scuffle.
They were both gasping for air, but the few words they managed to say were enough for Nach, Shizuka, and Saya to understand the situation.
"Shelter..."
"Flares..."
"Miyamoto-san..."
