Alex slowly waking up after being passed out several hours ago, dressed in white patient gown and a tube attached in his right arm connected to an IV Fluid, then a sound of an door opening revealing his dad with his black shirt with long sleeves and a blue denim jeans "Ohh you're alive" Mason joked to his son but deep down he's genuinely happy "Yeah sorry to disappoint" Alex smugly look to his father while the latter goes outside and call the nurse, moments later the doctor cleared Alex for discharge for tomorrow after several medical tests and examination
Thanks to medical advancement particularly in Nano technology related for medical uses, people can heal much faster that ever before with an exception for serious physical injuries, as Alex and Mason going to sleep there's a loud sounds similar to an large explosion then a rumble "Now what?" Irritated Alex sits up on his bed due to the disturbance moments later a much more louder explosion happened follow by a stronger rumbling thus making Mason falls from his sofa "After being chased by a weirdo's and their horses now this really?" Alex grumbles as he being feedup to be suckerpunch by bad luck
After getting up, Mason immediately rushes to the TV and turn the channel to the local broadcast network "Sophia!, I don't know if you are seeing this but there's a large number of creatures with an average size from 10 to meters in height terrorizing the city!" A black man with bulletproof vest and an helmet reports as the camera continues to shakes as they move, in the broadcast shows several National Guards some using older weapons firing on a large white wolves around 15 meters in height with a twin horns on its head uses it to stabbed a nearby hover IFV and then throws it to the soldiers "Run away you fools!" A soldier shouts at them before returning fire at the monster
But suddenly the broadcast cuts off, "Let's expedite your discharge now son, before we get stranded in the warzone, trust me you won't like it" Mason tells Alex has he grabs their things while Alex change clothes wearing an white shirt and a grey jogging pants with a pair of black sneakers "Where are we going now?" Alex asked his father as they bypass the panicking civilians and medical staffs "We're going to get your sisters in their dormitories and get themthen proceeds to our barn where we wait until the military controls the situation" Mason explained as they reach the elevator then goes to underground parking lot where upon arriving countless of people rushing at their vehicles like an ant after kicking their anthill "Come let's move!" Mason fast jog to his red pick up car along his Alex where he still can feel a bit of pain sustained previously
After entering the car Mason opens his secret compartment, reach something and hand over to his son then said in a grave expression "Look son, listen to me carefully the situation is very bad and I can't guarantee protect you and your sisters but i have high confidence in your skills and you already learned the things that needs to do in order to protect your self, that's why I'm entrusting you this" Alex gaze on the thing that his father gave to him and grasps "Wait dad is that your M1900 Tactical Pistol, you said to me that it's very important to you" Alex his father why did gave that despite its significant importance on the latter's life
"Yes, during my Special Force days this pistol saved my life and my comrades against the communist, monarchies and anarchist, this gun also protected your mom when she still alive as to why..." Mason formulates to what he's going to say but eventually gave up "You know what, just take the goddamn gun you brat! You always have a lot of questions!" Mason parked the car outside the school dormitories and calls Alexandria (19 her older sister by one year who is a college under the course program of mechanical engineering and robotics and Anastasia (17) is Senior High School with a course strand of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), "Alex, your sister are currently inside of their dormitories but several armed men breached the girl dormitory building hours ago and almost all of the security are dead or wounded" Mason faces his son in a cold gazes but Alex perfectly knows that behind the murderous cold faces entombed his overwhelming rage "So here's we gonna do, Alex you stay here inside the car and keep the engine running, whatever happens don't leave the car unless it's a matter of life and death understood" Mason waits for his son to answer then Alex nods in fierce determination on his eyes.
