Shrek Academy. Zhao Wuji and his group of teachers stood in the courtyard, their faces filled with deep confusion. They stared at Dugu Yan and could not understand what those strange metal tubes mounted on her arms were used for. The metallic barrels looked completely foreign to anything they had ever seen on the continent. Zhao Wuji looked over at Yu Xiaogang, who was breathing heavily and covered in bruises from the recent beating. Zhao Wuji called out loudly to him, asking if he knew what that strange device was.
Yu Xiaogang felt an intense wave of anger wash over him when he heard the question. He thought to himself that it was completely obvious he was badly hurt and in pain, yet instead of offering help, Zhao Wuji was asking him about a random metal object. He had absolutely no idea what it was, and the question only made him more furious.
Dugu Yan suddenly burst into a bright, happy laugh as she looked at her opponent. She pointed her metal-clad arms toward Tang San and shouted that she wanted to see where he could possibly run this time. She took a deep breath and called out for total firepower coverage.
A series of loud explosions echoed through the academy grounds. The sound was deafening, like thunder crashing repeatedly right next to them. In that exact instant, every single member of Shrek Academy widened their eyes in absolute shock. They watched as the twelve heavy cannon barrels on Dugu Yan's arms fired at the exact same time. The spirit tool launched a massive volley of bright light orbs and heavy cannonballs that filled the air. The projectless covered the sky and earth, creating a dense wall of energy that blasted directly toward Tang San.
Tang San stood completely frozen on the spot, his mind unable to process what was happening. He wondered what kind of weapon this could possibly be. He asked himself if it was a hidden weapon or some kind of open weapon, but he knew he had never heard of anything like this in his life. He could clearly feel that the destructive energy coming from this strange tool was much more powerful than any hidden weapon he had ever created. He realized he needed to move, but it was already too late to escape. The twelve barrels had fired so perfectly that the entire area around him was turned into a massive bombardment zone.
Another round of powerful explosions tore through the ground. The intense blast waves ripped through the dirt and shattered the surrounding stone. After just a single round of this terrible bombardment, Tang San was hit directly by the shockwaves and suffered heavy physical damage. He coughed violently and spat out a mouthful of dark blood onto the grass. His eyes were wide with immense shock and fear as he looked at the smoking craters. He realized that each individual attack from those barrels was actually comparable to a full strike from a Spirit Ancestor. What truly terrified him was that the weapon did not seem troublesome to operate at all. It did not require any complex hand movements or special mechanisms, making it even simpler to use than his own proud hidden weapons.
Zhao Wuji and the other teachers stood frozen as well, their mouths hanging open in disbelief. They muttered to themselves, wondering what kind of object could launch so many high-level attacks in a single second. They could not believe that a simple tool could replicate the power of a Spirit Ancestor so easily and rapidly.
Yu Xiaogang was completely dumbfounded as he stared at the destruction. He shook his head repeatedly and kept saying that it was absolutely impossible. He insisted that such a weapon could never exist on the Douluo Continent because he had studied spirits and weapons his entire life and had never seen or heard of anything like it.
Dai Mubai and the other students looked utterly terrified. They watched the dust settle and realized that the weapon provided instant, wide-range coverage that left absolutely nowhere for a person to hide. They knew that among their peers, anyone who was not a specialized defense system Spirit Master would be completely destroyed by a single volley.
It was not just the Shrek members who were stunned. Over in the chat group view, Zhuqing and Ah Yin were also watching the scene with wide eyes. They could not believe how powerful the metal tubes were and wondered what rank of weapon it was considered to be.
Bo Saixi sent a row of question marks into the chat to express her surprise.
I Am an Orphan sent a message saying that he had only heard Su Yan mention these things before, but seeing the actual power with his own eyes was truly incredible.
Bai Chenxiang quickly asked if this kind of spirit tool was very expensive to make or buy.
Ning Rongrong tagged Su Yan in the chat and excitedly declared that she had decided to buy a massive amount of these weapons. She stated that with these tools, the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School would easily become the strongest sect on the entire Douluo Continent.
Bibi Dong was also deeply impressed. She immediately ordered her student Hu Liena to go find Qian Daoliu right away and have him gather as many gold coins and rare resources as possible to fund the purchase of these weapons.
Although Bibi Dong and Ning Rongrong had just arrived in the second Douluo World in Suotuo City and had not seen these tools in person yet, watching the live broadcast made them incredibly excited. They both realized that with this kind of advanced technology, taking over and settling the world would be an easy task.
Call Me Her Majesty the Empress commented that Di Tian was right about humans being truly terrifying creatures for creating such dangerous things. She asked if there were even more powerful versions available.
Red Dust Dream Dream Dream replied to the group, explaining that the weapon Dugu Yan was using was only a Tier 4 spirit tool, which roughly corresponded to the power of a Spirit Ancestor. She added that these tools could be mass-produced and were considered standard equipment for a regular army. She noted that just four Tier 4 Spirit Tool Masters working together could easily suppress thousands of regular soldiers or low-level Spirit Masters.
Dugu Yan saw the messages and laughed loudly, declaring that the experience was far too much fun. She turned back to Tang San and mockingly told him to keep running if he could.
The twelve metal barrels glowed with bright light once again and fired another massive wave of energy. Tang San was so terrified by the sight that he pushed his Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track movement technique to its absolute physical limit, leaping and sliding across the ground to avoid the oncoming blasts.
Another series of loud explosions ripped through the academy courtyard. Tang San was caught in the outer edge of the blast and was sent flying through the air, crashing heavily onto the dirt. His mental state was completely shattered by the realization that his hidden weapons no longer held any advantage on this continent. He felt a deep sense of despair, wondering why he had never heard of such an evil and unfair weapon before.
He struggled to sit up as another round of fire came his way. He quickly summoned his remaining strength and called out his Blue Silver Grass Binding ability, causing several thick strands of blue vine to grow out of the earth to form a protective wall in front of him.
The incoming energy spheres hit the grass wall and exploded prematurely. Tang San had finally found a way to defend himself.
Yu Xiaogang saw this from the side and couldn't help but shout out in excitement, praising Tang San for being smart enough to use his own spirit to detonate the attacks at a safe distance. He told him to keep doing exactly that, but his cheer was cut short.
Dugu Yan's weapon did not stop firing. The subsequent attacks came in a continuous, non-stop stream with absolutely no pauses between the volleys. Before Tang San could even summon a second layer of Blue Silver Grass, the next wave of heavy energy shells slammed directly into his chest and face.
The final explosion completely crippled Tang San. He collapsed onto the ground in a limp pile, his body covered in burns and bruises, completely unable to move or recover.
Dugu Yan looked down at his unmoving form with a confused expression, asking him why he had suddenly gone to sleep in the middle of their match.
Su Yan sent a message to the chat expressing his frustration, stating that he was going to die of anger because Dugu Yan had ruined his plans to test the spirit tool against Tang San's traditional hidden weapons.
I Am an Orphan simply replied that Tang San was completely finished.
I Am a Little Bird commented that Tang San had totally miscalculated the situation because he did not expect the weapon to fire continuously without cooling down.
Dark Avenger asked what they should do next now that the fight was over.
Group Member No. 9 joked that they should start preparing for a funeral and remember to bring a nice gift to the family.
The rest of the chat group filled the screen with numbers to show how amused they were by the entire situation.
Zhao Wuji sighed heavily and ran over to the crater to check on Tang San's physical condition. He saw that the young boy was severely injured and unconscious. He looked up at Dugu Yan and asked why she was bullying the students for no good reason.
Dugu Yan snorted coldly and deactivated the spirit tool, causing the metal barrels to vanish from her arms. She told him that she had already explained her reasons clearly, stating that she simply disliked Tang San and Yu Xiaogang and wanted to beat them up.
Zhao Wuji shook his head slowly and warned her to be careful in the future, noting that while her grandfather was a powerful Titled Douluo, Tang San's family background was not simple either.
Yu Xiaogang managed to push himself up, his face swollen and heavily bruised. He glared at Dugu Yan and told her to remember this day, claiming that however she bullied Tang San today, she would suffer a hundred times worse in the future, and begging for mercy would not save her.
Dugu Yan smiled mockingly at his words, knowing that they were referring to the famous Titled Douluo, Tang Hao. She found it hilarious because she knew Tang Hao was currently hiding and barely able to protect himself, meaning he would never come to save them.
She raised her hand and delivered a sharp slap that sent Yu Xiaogang tumbling across the dirt, telling him to get lost. She stated that a useless twenty-ninth rank master had no right to threaten her. She then turned to her companion and asked Ye Lingling to use her spirit to heal Tang San just enough so they could leave and get some dinner.
Ye Lingling nodded quietly and activated her spirit, releasing a gentle light that stabilized Tang San's injuries. Once the task was done, the entire group walked out of Shrek Academy in a relaxed manner.
A notification appeared on the screen as the live stream came to an end.
