Ma Hongjun froze in his tracks. He stared at his hands and then at the girl he was supposed to be attacking. He began to doubt his own life, his spirit, and everything he knew about being a Spirit Master. He wondered if he had somehow forgotten how to use his own powers.
Flender and Zhao Wuji, watching from the sidelines, were just as confused. They wondered if Ma Hongjun's spirit ability had somehow evolved or mutated in the middle of the fight. The flames had no temperature; they looked like pure healing power. They questioned if Ning Rongrong's buffs were so strong that Ma Hongjun couldn't even scratch the defense. Naturally, they both turned to Yu Xiaogang for an explanation. He was the famous Grandmaster of spirit theory, so this should have been his specialty.
Yu Xiaogang, however, was having a mental breakdown. He felt completely lost and frustrated. He cursed Su Yan and the others in his mind, wondering how many more times they would make his friends doubt his knowledge. He felt betrayed by the records of Spirit Hall, thinking they were useless for not having any information on such strange occurrences. His reputation as a scholar was crumbling before his eyes, and he felt like a total failure.
Ah Yin watched with wide eyes, questioning how an Evil Fire Phoenix spirit could suddenly turn into a healing spirit. Ling Yuan was the one who finally figured it out. She realized it was Ye Lingling's doing. Her spirit ability had actually changed the nature of Ma Hongjun's spirit, turning him into a healer. She pointed out the mark of the Nine Heart Begonia on the boys.
Even Ning Rongrong and Xiao Wu were baffled. They hadn't even started their big moves yet, and the battle was already turning into a comedy. They couldn't believe a healing spirit master could turn her enemies into healers. Ma Hongjun, hearing the girls talk, felt his soul leaving his body. Dai Mubai tried his best to follow orders. He unleashed his Second Spirit Ability, the White Tiger Light Wave. But as the energy gathered, he saw the color change. It wasn't the usual aggressive white light; it felt warm and full of life. When the wave hit Xiao Wu, she didn't even move. She just stood there and soaked it up, feeling a wave of refreshing energy wash over her. Another notification appeared: Life +99.
Frustrated, Dai Mubai activated his White Tiger Barrier. To his horror, the protective shield didn't just block attacks; it started pumping healing energy directly into his own body. Then he tried his third ability, the White Tiger Vajra Transformation. Instead of boosting his strength and speed for combat, it turned into a super-regeneration buff that healed his wounds almost instantly.
Dugu Yan was laughing so hard she had to lean on Ah Yin for support. Su Yan was slapping his thigh, unable to contain his joy at the ridiculous scene. Ning Rongrong and Xiao Wu were also laughing, realizing that they were in a position where they could beat their opponents, and the opponents would just keep healing them in return. It was completely unfair and utterly hilarious.
Ning Rongrong looked at Ye Lingling and asked if she was secretly a devil. Ye Lingling, ever the calm one, simply replied that cherishing life and giving everyone the power to heal was the highest level a healing spirit master could reach. With a small smile, she told her friends to go ahead and finish the job.
The girls rushed forward. They started pummeling Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun, who couldn't even fight back effectively. Every time the boys tried to use a skill, they just ended up healing themselves or their attackers. Dai Mubai started crying out that he surrendered, but the beating continued. He was shocked to find that he could heal his own pain, only to get hit again immediately after. It was a never-ending cycle of healing and hurting.
The group chat for the livestream was blowing up with messages. One user, calling themselves I Am an Orphan, begged to know if this was all a scripted show because it was too crazy to be real. In the Crown Prince's Mansion, Qian Renxue was losing her cool. She had accepted Zhu Zhuqing's weird shadow powers and Ning Rongrong's invincibility, but Ye Lingling's ability to force others to be healers was just too much for her to handle.
At the Moon Pavilion, Liu Erlong and Tang Yuehua were staring at the screen in total shock. Liu Erlong joked that she wanted to open Ye Lingling's brain just to see how it worked, while Tang Yuehua declared her the true king of the field. Even Bo Saixi commented on the terror of the system spirit rings, noting how each girl was showing a new level of power.
Back at Spirit Hall, Bibi Dong and Hu Liena were sharing a look of pure disbelief. Hu Liena asked her teacher if what they were seeing was real. Bibi Dong could only twitch her mouth in annoyance and wonder how anyone could imagine such an outrageous ability. She messaged the chat, telling Ye Lingling that she was a true devil when she actually tried.
Hu Liena added that she didn't know what she had done in her past life to deserve having such terrifying people as her potential rivals. The mysterious "Her Majesty the Empress" simply replied with a curious "Oh?" as the chaotic scene at Shrek Academy reached its peak.
