Perry's POV
Once I confirmed Phoebe wasn't among them, I unleashed the fury I'd been restraining. The beast within me broke free after being caged for so long.
Eight warriors launched themselves at me simultaneously, desperate to bring me down. Their efforts proved futile—they couldn't even approach without facing devastating retaliation.
My rage consumed everything. The black beast erupted in a bone-chilling roar that sent tremors through their ranks. They'd forgotten the title I carried.
If they wanted to test the madness coursing through my veins, death would be their reward.
"Attack him!" Maxwell's voice cracked as he screamed orders to his remaining forces. Only fifteen warriors stood breathing, the rest having perished during their assault on the pack house.
This was suicide, plain and simple. They had nowhere to retreat, so if they were going down, they planned to drag me with them.
That was their strategy.
