Sandy's POV
Grey released Fred with such force that the young man stumbled backward. I fought to keep my breathing steady as I froze several steps away from the unfolding scene.
The Luna and Paul rushed forward to help Fred to his feet while Grey's lips curved into a cold sneer. "Remove him from my presence immediately."
Neither of them dared to object. There was an unspoken protocol they all seemed to follow - when Grey's rage reached this level, no one challenged him or attempted retaliation.
This wasn't an isolated incident. I realized with growing horror that Grey wasn't the reasonable man I'd initially believed him to be.
How wrong my instincts had been. How terribly, foolishly wrong.
"Fred, put your weight on me," Paul murmured to his brother as he guided him toward the exit.
The Luna stayed close to them, but before departing, she fixed me with a look that could have melted steel - pure hatred mixed with a clear warning.
