Breaking Pack protocol was forbidden territory for any Luna. We were bound by ancient laws never to expose our Alpha's secrets to outsiders or reveal information that could compromise our Pack's safety.
But desperation had a way of making rebels out of even the most obedient wolves.
I'd already confided in Charles about Dominic's fabricated threat from Alpha Abel. The lies my mate spun to justify his bloodthirsty war. Yet Charles remained silent, taking no action against his cousin's crimes. Blood ran thicker than justice in the Ezekiel family, and I meant nothing to either of them.
If I wanted answers, I'd have to carve my own path through their web of deception.
"What's the meaning of this gathering, Sandy?" Dominic's voice cut through the tension as he settled into his throne-like chair.
