Sandy's POV
The sound of my name cut through the air like a blade, slashing through the fog that had consumed my thoughts.
Dominic's voice struck me with brutal force, and I went rigid in Charles's embrace.
My palms were still pressed against his muscular chest, trembling as raw panic flooded my system. I attempted to wrench myself away from him, but Charles held me captive.
His grip became more possessive as his mouth claimed mine with renewed intensity.
"Release me," I breathed against his lips, desperate and shaking, but he refused to listen.
Instead, his teeth grazed my lower lip, the sharp sensation sending liquid fire straight through my core, making me throb with unwanted desire.
My legs turned to water as he drew the tender flesh into his mouth, tasting the copper tang of my blood like he was savoring fine wine.
Every rational thought in my head demanded I tear myself away, that I end this insanity, but my treacherous body melted further into his addictive touch.
