Chapter 126 - A Bomb About to Explode

A few moments before Wise got caught, Anby asked the three girls in front of her about Ellen's boyfriend's name.

"Who are you? When did you get here?" Ruby asked with an uncomfortable look on her face.

However, Anby just glanced at her before her gaze locked directly onto Ellen, who stood not far away.

Under such an intense stare, anyone would sense something amiss, and Ellen was no exception. She turned her head sharply, and their eyes met.

Ellen recognized Anby immediately and recalled that she had been the one holding the Bangboo Wise was controlling inside the Hollow.

'Why is she here? Is she trying to ruin my date with Wise?' She thought as she walked over quickly.

Ruby and the other two seemed slightly flustered by the sudden tension. However, when Ellen approached, she merely glanced at them without a word.

The three instantly realized she had seen them from the start and just decided not to say anything. They stayed quiet, feeling awkward and embarrassed.

Ellen turned her gaze to Anby, her delicate brows drawing together.

"I remember your name is Anby, right?"

"Yes. I didn't expect to see you here, Miss Ellen."

Although the two had exchanged only a few words, a faint sense of rivalry lingered in the air between them.

The subtle tension was enough to make Ellen's three best friends instinctively huddle together.

"Are you at the Carnival by yourself, Miss Anby?"

After an intense exchange of glances, Ellen was the first to break the silence.

"No. I came here with my boyfriend."

"Oh? What a coincidence. I came with mine too. I'm curious, Miss Anby, what's your boyfriend's name? Maybe... I know him?" Ellen's eyes narrowed as she spoke.

Wise's behavior today had been very strange. It was supposed to be their date, but he kept leaving frequently.

At first, she'd assumed he wasn't feeling well and had even considered cutting the date short.

But now? It seemed unnecessary.

Anby, noticing the change in Ellen's expression, showed no intention of hiding anything and spoke openly.

"You do know him, Miss Ellen."

"I see. Then allow me to guess. It's Wise, isn't it?"

"Yes."

With things laid bare to this extent, the two fell into a tacit silence for a while.

As for the three best friends who were still watching from the side, their eyes widened in unison upon hearing this revelation.

None of them could have imagined that their simple decision to follow Ellen would lead to gossip this explosive.

That handsome guy, Wise, was seriously a total scumbag.

Lynn had also pulled out her phone at some point, but she didn't take photos. Doing so in front of others would be incredibly rude.

She was immersed in shock as well, but her phone had been buzzing with messages for a while now.

When she opened it, she found private messages responding to her earlier post. A dozen of them, all from the same person.

Something felt wrong immediately. The sender had only asked a few questions, but every single one focused on Wise.

| Where is he? What's his name? |

Lynn pushed up her glasses instinctively, glancing between her phone screen and the two women still locked in their standoff.

Although she knew he was two-timing, she hadn't expected Wise to actually be three-timing.

As for who sent these private messages? That would be Rain, who, after Wise had just left, opened her phone and coincidentally saw Lynn's post.

She stared at the photo uncertainly, then pulled up the picture of Wise she'd secretly taken earlier.

Comparing the clothes, hair color, and posture, Rain became certain. The person in that photo with the girl was Wise.

And the girl? She actually knew her, too, because that was Ellen, who'd saved her before with Wise.

Back then, Rain's female intuition had picked up on something unmistakable. Ellen harbored special feelings for Wise as well.

It was a pity that although Ellen had arrived earlier than she, her tsundere nature prevented her from taking a few more steps forward.

Rain had even gotten ahead of her. At least from what she could tell, Ellen definitely hadn't kissed Wise yet, so it looked like she was winning.

'Hmph, no wonder Wise kept disappearing. But so what? With this strategy in hand, I'll definitely claim the ultimate prize first!'

While Rain was lost in thought, she activated her hacking skills to precisely trace the person who had made the post, then headed in that direction.

She needed to find out what was truly happening over there.

Meanwhile, on Belle's side, when she saw the photo Qingyi had sent, her eye twitched slightly, and she clenched her teeth as she stared at her phone.

She did not mind Koleda and Nekomata since she had already known about them, but now he had even included Rain as well.

Belle couldn't help but be shocked at how efficient her brother was at getting girls. Wise and Rain hadn't even known each other for a full day, and she'd already fallen for him.

Still feeling resentful, Belle first sent Qingyi a message to thank her, then immediately made a video call to her brother, but he didn't answer.

'Heh, seems like you're quite busy, dear brother. I knew something felt off about you today. Turns out you were just ditching your adorable little sister to go on dates with other girls!'

To her, he deserved to be taught a lesson for being so dishonest.

Belle's smile turned dark. She didn't particularly mind her brother surrounding himself with girls, but being left completely in the dark? That didn't sit well with her at all.

On the other side, Koleda was walking through the construction machinery exhibition hall, but couldn't really focus.

Right now, all she could think about was Wise, who'd left a while ago and still hadn't come back.

He'd made multiple trips to the restroom by now. Worried, Koleda decided she needed to go check on him.

Then Koleda actively went to look for Wise, but unfortunately, at this moment, even if she searched the entire exhibition hall, she wouldn't find him.

Something felt wrong. She stepped outside the hall, hoping to spot him there, and coincidentally ran into Nekomata, who was also wandering the Carnival searching for him.

Since she could not find Wise, Nekomata climbed up a utility pole to look around, only for a Public Security officer to order her down right away.

With nothing else to do, Nekomata sat down on a nearby bench and decided to send Wise a voice message.

"Wise, I'm looking for you. Where are you right now? Nya."

As she sent it, Koleda happened to overhear the recording and walked over to her.

"Excuse me, did you just say Wise?"

"Nya?"

Nekomata tilted her head curiously, lifting her gaze to meet Koleda, who now stood before her.
