"Alright," I cut the call, a deep frown resting on my face.
"They don't know?"
If the Kingsley family agent was coming to verify compliance, they should have informed the control office of J&K first.
Looking at the contact list with J&K's control office at the top, I scrolled it down before coming to an abrupt halt, my thumb hovering above, hesitant.
"This..."
A cracking voice resounded, making me turn my head. Looking at the stunned group, I sighed and locked the screen.
"What is this?" Leila, with her finger pointing ahead, spoke.
Following her finger, I laid my eyes on the worn-out structure.
Tall with a massive entrance at the front, its rusted shutters were half lowered, one of them bent inward as if it had given up resisting long ago. There was supposed to be signage above, but it was now bare, leaving behind only pale scars on the concrete wall.
Massive chunks of metal were placed on its sides, but at least the path was clean.
