Chapter 1 — The Night That Changed Bhanpura

Bhanpura — a quiet village in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. A place where even time seems to walk slowly. Dusty paths, fields stretching endlessly, and mornings that rise like an old forgotten melody.

On the edge of this village stood a small orphanage, a home for children who had no one left in this world. It was run by an old couple — Ramlal and Phoolwati. Their backs were bent by age, but their hearts still carried a gentle warmth for every child they cared for.

Their own son, Zen, had once left for the city to find a better life. But after years of trying to survive the chaos of city life, he returned.

Ramlal smiled warmly and asked,

"Son, why have you returned from the city?"

Zen replied with a quiet heaviness,

"I couldn't live there anymore, Dada. It didn't feel like home. I want to stay with you and work here."

He decided to run a butcher's shop in the nearby market — the same skill that once earned him survival in the city. His wife Heena, their young daughter Soya, and son Rizer moved into a small room next to the orphanage. The old couple was overjoyed, and for a while, life continued peacefully.

Daily routines… children's laughter… the comfort of family…

Until that night.

It was raining heavily — thunder roaring, the sky torn open. In the silence of the storm, black cars rolled in and stopped near the orphanage. Men stepped out — faces masked by darkness, hands armed with knives, swords, guns, even explosives.

Without warning, they attacked.

There was no mercy.

Children screamed. Ramlal, Phoolwati, and everyone inside tried to fight, to protect the innocent… but fate had other plans.

Two children hid in the shadows — Zen's own daughter and son, Soya and Rizer. Terrified. Small. Hoping to survive.

But the attackers found them.

And the same cruelty swallowed them too.

The orphanage was set ablaze — fire spreading like a hungry monster, devouring walls, dreams, and breaths in moments.

Heena rushed outside as soon as she sensed danger — and what she saw tore the ground from beneath her feet.

Flames everywhere.

Cries fading into fire.

Her children… gone.

She screamed. She fell. She broke.

And the night stayed silent.

The Morning After

When dawn arrived, the village gathered — staring at the burnt remains of what once was home for lost children. Smoke still rose from the ruins. Bodies… ash… and questions.

Who were those men?

Why did they do this?

What did they want?

No one had answers.

But one thing was undeniable:

Bhanpura would never breathe the same again.

This tragedy was only the beginning.

Because when destiny takes everything from a man — it leaves behind something far more dangerous…
