The next day Celeste woke up to her rumbling stomach, she hadn't eaten anything since and now she was extremely hungry. She got up and took her bath and brushed her teeth. After getting ready she went downstairs to see Anna Olsen one of the Evans family maid in the kitchen.
Miss Anna I'm hungry can I have something to eat Celeste tried to mimic the original owner way of handling things, but Anna sneered "woke up late and still expect to be served, how snnobish". Celeste just calmly stared at Anna for a while before going to the kitchen shelves to get a pot. Celeste calmly lit the gas and started cooking noodles. Anna was dumbfounded but she found herself captivated to this scene, the Celeste she knew would start begging even going as far as kneel aside just to be served food but looking at the silhouette of a familiar face she couldn't help but break out a sweat.
Celeste quickly put together something edible before leaving she glanced at Anna with a knowing smirk that send chills down anyone's spine.
Celeste sat at the dining table and started eating, but she didn't say anything much just eating, her small frame made her look pitiful, As if she'd been wronged by the world.
From the original owners memories she figured she was very lazy and restless always causing mischief but she was smart and courteous, she treated every one as equals, she was self less but she was no pushover, which is why lernie had to resort to poisoning cause she couldn't take her head on.
The school exam was in a month, and the original owner had planned to leave this family after the exams, actually Celeste plans for revenge was very straightforward she would strike with a hot iron leaving them hope less and defeated then she'll figure out the truth of her own death, reconcile with her fiance and bring the glory back to the world she had everything figured out, little did she know the truth was much more vast than she could handle.
While Celeste was lost in thought lernie arrived in front of her " tsk, tsk, tsk, you are actually tougher than I thought, so many days of consuming poison and you are still breathing, why don't you just die bitch!" She screamed her face twisted in malice and scheming, a stark contrast to Celeste, who looked up and pursed her lip, she was annoyed. But lernie seeing her calm demeanor exploded with rage, "how dare you survive I spent a fortune on that poison and you are still breathing, I'll kill you myself, she ran trying to scratch Celeste face, but Celeste sighed pursing her lips she lifed her hand and slapped lernie arm away stop ranting you look like a fool When you are speaking like that" her words though without an insult calmed the ranting lernie whose face turn red from embarrassment. One thought crossed her mind " what a sharp mouth young lady" seeing she had quieted down she said "don't talk like that in front of outsiders it will make our family looks like it lack proper manners," lernie was instantly smitten by surch words.
Celeste smiled good girl. Now go read, lernie didn't know what got to her but hearing Celeste words she turned on her heels and went to her room.
Celeste opened the door and went outside, looking around the street she felt a form of peace, so she went to the park mainly to get a breath air and to think.
She couldn't figure out why she was reborn but now she was determined to seize the opportunity from this world.
She walked around the park for a while before sitting down,
"Celeste..." An unfamiliar voice called her turning around she saw a girl wearing white shirt and black pants, her hair was done into a ponytail and she had a school bag across her back, she looked like an innocent school girl, searching the original owner memory she figured this girl was bianca her cousin from her mother's side. She was the only person who ever made the original owner feel like family so she smiled warmly at her
"bianca long time no see", she responded with a wave of her arm.
" Celeste it really is you granny told me you were dying I was so sad for weeks but Mom won't let me out" she looked down then raised her face again and her smile was wider " but you are alright now Celeste, I won't let anyone mistreat you again"
Celeste smiles "you won't have to worry about me anymore I've grown wings now and I'm ready to fly".
"Come I'll treat you to ice cream" bianca said cheerfully her eyes reminiscent to that of a child.
She pulled Celeste up all the way to Mama Mia ice cream shop she looked at Celeste hopefully, Celeste looking at the shop realize it was a store the original owner adored, Celeste looking into her hopefully eyes smiled and tapped her head " nice place but it's expensive" let's go we can have ice cream elsewhere no need to spend money on treat with similar taste to the cheaper ones.
"No I'll treat you senior sister Celeste today at your favorite ice cream shop you deserve nothing but the best sis".
" This... " Celeste couldn't help but to find this little girl adorable, in the end under the persuasion of bianca, Celeste finally entered the store.
Celeste squinted her eyes looking at the guy behind the counter, he looked so familiar he felt familiar, soon she realization dawned on her , that was philip halls, the CEO of halls cooperation, he was under disguise which was the reason she didn't realise who he was, in her past life Philip hall had pursued her passionately, but when she rejected him he fell into depression and disappeared from public eyes, looking at him now celeste felt a wave of guilt, so she catiously approached the counter after sending bianca to find seats.
"Philip halls....." She called cautiously, but his reaction said it all he looked up in shock and saw Celeste, his face masked with a fake smile and anger.
" Who sent you" he asked his anger was livid
But Celeste smiles" I'll take two chocolate ice cream small cups pls".
He masked his anger and curiosity and left the store after serving Celeste. Celeste smiled and gave bianca the ice cream bianca was so excited talking nonstop for hours Celeste sat there licking her ice cream slowly. She loved the chat no one in her previous life was ever this close to her.
