Chapter 1 - 1 the nameless boy

It's 5 o'clock in the morning. The sun is yet to rise. Rashi, Tarun, Tanu and Ishi just woke up and came out to enjoy the cool breeze blowing across the shore. After months so many of the members are have finally been able to have a meet up. With everyone busy in their lives trying to solve their own problems life has not given them much oppurtunity to have a nice trip with the core members.

The beach has almost no people at this time. But by seven it would be as crowded as a fish market. The stars are still visible the sun slowly showing its bright red face gradually turning orange. As the low tides begin the sea drifts afar, Rashi notices a pile of glowing mud. Magic? Person? She thinks to herself. Did someone just pass out. She calls everyone, to rush in.

" What happenned? Why are you yelling?" Ishi asked as she yawned.

" There is a person i think, Or at least a spirit. "

" Spirit? Let's check it out. " Tanu smiled with a curious look.

" Hey! Wait. Be careful. " Rashi warned as she saw the light slowly fade.

" It is a person. " Tanu said as she looked with pity.

" Oh no! Is he dead? " Tarun stared carefully. With this kind of injuries it's unlikely for someone to survive.

" Still let me check. " Rashi slowly but carefully wiped off the blood soaked mud and sand off his face body and wrist. So cold, so pale, She thought to herself as she hoped to get a pulse.

Suddenly she moved in awe " He is alive. Arrange the bed quick. He might survive. We need to hospitalize him. " she said as she stood up.

" Let's keep it a secret.. My hunch tells he ran away from somewhere.. Lets not go official. " Tanu added. " Lets take him to our hospital for now. "

" Why? " Rashi argued..

" No its ok. Her hunches are mostly correct. " Tarun replied. " Let's bring others to help.

" Damn can't we get a break. " Ishika yelled tying her long hair which kept covering her eyes by the sea wind.

" Oh please shut up Ishi. Just opt out of this one. No one is forcing you to stay." Tanu responded in an annoyed tone.

" That's really not the issue. Anyway, let's focus on the task at hand. "

Taking him to the hospital proved more difficult than they thought would be. " I am exhausted. Wr just had to walk three to four minutes. " Tanuja sat on the floor tired, spreading her legs.

" Don't sit like that, others woukd trip. "

" Others have eyes right. "

It's been five hours since they got back home using their magic portal. Rashi and Tarun had started treating him as soon as they got back yet no signs of them leaving the private clinic.

" How long do you think they will need? " ishika asked.

" Who knows, with that much bruises and injuries. " Dhruv added. " Hey, in the meantime let's try to think of what might have happened right. "

" Yes, it's really strange that no one found him before we got there. "

" May be he washed up after the crowd on the beach was gone. " Dhruv started speculatiing. Vishu started taking notes of what happened. " I will try to dig up his identity through my sources. If i can that is. " Vishu opened his laptop.

" He must have washed up between two thirty to five thirty. That's such a short time. "

" No. There is another thought. Maybe no one saw him because it was high tide till three. It increases the possible time. " Pihu stood by Vishu's side as they brainstormed every train of thought.

" But why? "

" There were two striking things. First he had injuries beyond imagination. Second he has magical abilities but disappearing. " Tanu stood up picking up a pen from the floral pen stand she recently bought from the handicrafts store nearby.

" What could be the reason though? " Tanu said in a low voice with a sad look on her face. " Did you see his injuries. Who could have done that? Why? " she rattled her teeth as her face got red.

" Tanu calm down. Getting angry won't do any good. At this point we need answers. " Dhruv put his hand on her shoulders. " You always get like this whenever you are upset. Please try to be rational. I know you can. "

" Did he witness something he was not supposed to? " Ishika asked.

" Like? A murder? Then why would they keep him alive? " Dhruv countered.

" Then what else could be the reason? " Ishika bit her lips while she thought

" Maybe, he is a victim of revenge. " Tanuja thought.

" Like what kind of revenge? "

" Maybe him or his family did something wrong to someone. And that someone did this as an act of revenge. " Tanuja elaborated.

" That is a possibility. But this cruelty to a teenager. What could he have done? " Ishika stared down.

" Have some tea guys. You are all very tired. " Christina said bringing the kettle full of tea. She poured the tea in everyones specified cups. Dhruv does not like ceramic cups, instead would use glass mugs.

" Really don't have the appetite. But I am hungry too. Everyone seems hungry. I" ll go get something to eat. None of us have eaten anything since morning. And its almost twelve and time for lunch. " Dhruv said looking at the clock.

" It might be because of his magic core. " Rashi came out looking etremely exhauseted. " Give me some tea. I am going to take a shower. Tarun will give you the details. "

" Hey answer something atleast. " Pihu stopped her.

" Nothing to say. I just said that he might have been abducted by people who steal magic cores. "

" Steal? " Tanu asked with curiousity

" Yes steal. He had a strong magical presence but it was forcefully taen out. "

Rashi said as Tarun came out and added " He is suprisingly too alive for someone with this condition. It's likely that he survived because of his essense. "

" Can someone even do that? Magical cores are individual elements developed in teenagers by their strong emotions right. How can you steal someone's core? " Ishika asked in disbelief.

" w

We said what we saw. Anyway, wheres our Mr lawyer. Did he not return with us ? "

" No he was in a deep sleep. We tried to wake him up. He drove us away. " Ishika replied.

" Oh great. So he is the only one there. What an idiot. " Tarun laughed.

" Let's try to find if there are any missing cases once he wakes up. " Rashi said and left to take a bath.

" Hey Tarun. When do you think he will wake up? " Dhruv asked checking his mobile phone.

" Can't say. He is in deep coma. Breathing, but no other response. Will he remember anything when he wakes up - I wonder. " Tarun muttered to himself.

To be continued...
