Chapter 18 - Chapter 15: How Can You Diet Without Being Full?

"Qingqing's dad, your Qingqing and Weiwei are really amazing. They eat so well on their own, it's really rare."

Xie Jianing couldn't help but praise as she watched the two little ones, Qingqing and Weiwei, each holding a tray in one hand and a spoon in the other, taking big bites of their food.

Just as she finished speaking.

Several teachers couldn't help but turn their gaze to Qingqing and Weiwei, seeing them eat so earnestly like little grown-ups, eyes filled with admiration.

Nowadays, many parents spoil their children excessively, making them delicate, and some even need to be fed by their parents at three years old.

And picky eaters are even more common.

However, the two little ones in front of them were not delicate at all.

Not only did they eat proficiently with a spoon, but they also weren't picky about food.

Whether it was ribs, mushrooms, or tofu, they ate it all with relish.

Xie Jianing and Wang Wenxia felt very comforted, thinking how lucky they were to have such well-behaved and sensible children in their class.

This would surely make their future work a lot easier.

Yang Yuxi felt particularly fortunate.

She was glad she had the foresight to ask Director Liang early on to have these two little ones in her class, cutting off the hopes of the other teachers.

Meanwhile, Jiang Xinzhuo was full of envy.

She hoped that her class would also have such well-behaved and sensible children among the new students.

Huang Jun, feeling the teachers' affection and praise for his children, smiled slightly.

He noticed the braised prawns in Qingqing and Weiwei's bowls were gone, so he picked two from his own plate and put them into theirs.

Qingqing was eating a mushroom and, noticing a prawn added to her plate, turned to Huang Jun and said in her childlike voice, "Qingqing has already eaten a lot, Papa, you eat it..."

"Dad still has more here!"

Huang Jun pointed to his own plate, hinting for them to look.

The two little ones peeked over.

Seeing there were indeed several prawns in his plate, they continued eating.

Although their mouths were covered in sauce, the table was kept quite clean, with barely any spilled rice grains or grease.

"Oh dear, why weren't such well-behaved kids assigned to my class? Do you think if I go talk to Director Liang now and ask her to transfer these two kids to my class, it'll be too late?"

Jiang Xinzhuo watched their interaction, liking Qingqing and Weiwei, these two cute and sensible little ones, even more.

Alright!

She admitted part of it was being tempted by their dad's cooking skills.

If she could be their homeroom teacher, she wouldn't have to worry about making food for events like the Mid-Autumn Festival anymore; she could just invite Huang Jun to help.

This way, she and her class could have the chance to taste even more diverse foods!

"Don't even think about it."

Xie Jianing, with a face that said, "I thought you were a friend but turns out you're coveting my students," looked at Jiang Xinzhuo, and doused her hopes with a "smack": "I'm telling you, their quilts and mats were sent to our class this morning, and I've already put their photos up, so just give up your impractical ideas, or I'll stop being friends with you..."

Most of the kids in the small class couldn't recognize words.

To help them clearly identify their items, their photos were put on their backpack lockers, cup cabinets, towel racks, etc., so they could find their belongings.

When Qingqing and Weiwei were first brought to her class in the morning, Xie Jianing immediately put up their photos.

"Alright, alright, I'll take back my unrealistic thoughts."

Jiang Xinzhuo, slightly disappointed, continued eating.

But as soon as the food hit her mouth, all her disappointment vanished instantly.

She had to admit, today's lunch was exceptionally delicious, and the soup was particularly tasty.

The teachers, who usually fussed about dieting, when Aunt Li served them, would often say, "Serve less, serve less," or "I don't want this dish, don't serve me."

Initially, there wasn't much served at lunch, but soon they couldn't resist getting up to go to the dining area for more rice, more dishes, and more soup.

Almost every teacher went for seconds.

Liu Suyu was no exception.

After finishing the food on her plate, she couldn't resist adding more, only stopping when she couldn't eat another bite.

Looking around, seeing other teachers still busily eating, her face couldn't help but show a smile.

A few days ago, the teachers weren't this enthusiastic about eating.

Seeing everyone eating so happily now, she felt happy inside too, more convinced that hiring Huang Jun as the chef was a wise decision by Director Liang.

Actually, there were reasons for the previous lack of enthusiasm.

Returning from the summer vacation, many were still experiencing post-holiday syndrome, and with Chef Wei leaving, the taste of the meals dropped quite a bit.

Though Aunt Li and Aunt Lin's cooking was okay, it fell short compared to Chef Wei's.

These factors combined led to a decreased interest in the meals.

Thus, the enthusiasm for eating was not high.

Now, with Huang Jun's meticulous cooking, the quality of the kindergarten's lunch had improved significantly, and naturally, they ate with joy.

Qingqing and Weiwei also had great appetites, each having another half bowl of rice, and ate a lot of dishes, even finishing every drop of soup.

If Huang Jun hadn't noticed their little bellies were already round and stopped them, they might have eaten even more!

"You already added food twice, and you want more? Aren't you afraid of being too full?"

Yang Yuxi, feeling quite full after adding food once, was worried seeing her partner going for seconds.

Even though her partner was a foodie, she usually controlled her portions, only adding food once at most.

Never had she broken this rule.

Today, however, she made an exception.

Xie Jianing, feeling full to the point of discomfort, continued eating with a chuckle, "I can't help it... my stomach's full, but my eyes aren't satisfied..."

She even loosened her tight belt to make more room for her stomach to continue enjoying the food.

"Eating like that, your weight will just shoot up this term, likely gaining 10 pounds." Yang Yuxi kindly reminded her.

Xie Jianing: "..."

Life is already hard, some things are better left unsaid.

"If I don't eat enough, where will I get the energy to lose weight? Besides, dieting isn't the only way to lose weight, right..."

Yang Yuxi: "..."

She made such a valid point, that Yang Yuxi was left speechless.

She awkwardly smiled, "As long as you're happy..."
