The Evolver lifted the trash can lid, and a stench surged forth, choking the Evolver's nostrils.

The contents of this trash can were so foul that the Evolver's face turned green, and he dropped the lid like he'd been shocked, covering his nose and cursing:

Damn it, there should be an order that forbids anyone from bringing a trash can upstairs!"
Actually, wheeled trash cans shouldn't be brought above the ninth floor. This is a rule set by the restaurant to accommodate high-level employees.
Apparently, many of the high-level employees didn't know about this rule.
Reid apologized repeatedly, pushing the trash can into the freight elevator, pressing the button for the fourth basement floor.
That's the garbage disposal area, where a still-running garbage truck is parked.
