As the words fell.
A young man in a green robe with silver flowing-cloud embroidery on the collar and sleeves swaggered over.
Behind him followed a group of five men and women.
The group surrounded the green-robed man, fawning over him nonstop.
The flattery clearly pleased him, as he was walking on air.
"Old Lin, I, Qing Lie, will cover these five. Let 'em do their test first and just go through the motions." The green-robed man said casually to the elder guarding the Spirit Testing Stele.
Old Lin froze for a second, but dared not show any dissatisfaction.
"Understood." Qing Lin waved his hand: "You all step back a bit. Once they're done, it'll be your turn."
The line looked over at Qing Lie in fear—no one dared complain. The whole queue silently retreated, making space for the five.
"Thanks, Young Master Lie!" The five chimed their thanks, arrogantly striding to the front.
"Come on. Now, put your hand on the Spirit Testing Stele." Qing Lin said with a grin on his face.
