Hong Qigong looked sideways, seemingly a bit skeptical of Ding Ling's martial arts talent:
"Do you really learn everything so quickly, and understand it immediately?"
"Absolutely!"
Ding Ling affirmed.
"Oh!"
Hong Qigong was moved. Having spent some time with Ding Ling, Hong Qigong knew that Ding Ling was not one to boast. He pondered for a while, pacing back and forth before saying:
"If you are indeed a prodigy, I would be happy to teach you martial arts. Here's what we'll do. I'll teach you a palm technique first. If you can indeed master it just by watching once, I'll teach you my most skilled techniques."
Having said this, Hong Qigong relaxed and stroked the short beard under his chin. Without another word, he began to demonstrate.
"Watch carefully."
He displayed a set of palm techniques with extreme fluidity, his movements shifting left and right like an immortal roaming the heavens and earth, exuding a sense of freedom, grandeur, and boldness.
