Sarutobi Hiruzen saw the cracks all over Senju Tobirama's body and noticed his eyes weren't those of a living person, resembling the Reanimation Jutsu undead used in the war back in the day.

Tobirama's expression became heavy upon hearing about the Rinnegan, and after listening to the intel on Nagato, he sensed Nagato wasn't the person the Six Paths Sage mentioned.
