"Just attend to the customers!"

Why does that sound a bit off?
"The New Year's digital store opening will have events, and there might be a lot of customers. I'm afraid we can't handle it. As the store manager, I have to be responsible for the store, so I have to consider this. If you guys can come and help, then I won't fuss about not boosting my business."
Su Zelin's move is called asking for the sky but settling for the earth. He didn't really plan on making the two girls boost his sales; his main goal was the latter.
