It's called familiar because this river is the only link between the Hundred Lands Mountain Range and the outside world, the Hundred Lands Grand Canal.
A variety of strange boats set off from the Hundred Lands Mountain Range, continuously sailing towards the outside along the canal.
It's called unfamiliar because this Hundred Lands Grand Canal is completely different from the one in Li Xudou's impression.
In Li Xudou's era, dams had already been built on both sides of the Hundred Lands Grand Canal, and quite a few pavilions and towers decorated the banks.
According to what Li Xudou knew, any outsiders had to stay along the river banks before entering the Hundred Lands Mountain Range.
On one hand, they enjoyed the scenic beauty along the river; on the other hand, they waited for clearance permission.
