Babidi asked his most capable subordinate, Dabura, "Dabura, how do you think we can quickly gather energy to revive Majin Buu?"
"Lord Babidi, I think we can collect Saiyan energy from that Saiyan to resurrect Majin Buu," Dabura responded respectfully.
Babidi nodded. "Actually, that's what I was planning too. It seems this is the only way. Aren't the people on Earth planning to organize the so-called World Martial Arts Tournament? It's a perfect opportunity to collect Saiyan energy."
Babidi then ordered two of his men to go to the tournament to gather Saiyan energy for resurrecting Majin Buu.
At the same time, at Goku's house, Krillin called and asked if Goku wanted to participate in the World Martial Arts Tournament together. After all, they hadn't joined in years.

"Interesting. I look forward to your performance, Vegeta," Goku replied casually.
Vegeta's strength had improved a lot over the past seven years.
Goku could see that Vegeta had mastered the Super Saiyan 2 form.
This was where Vegeta's confidence came from.
Seven years ago, he might not have dared challenge Goku like this if he hadn't surpassed Lightning Cell's strength at the time.
Still, no matter how confident Vegeta was, he was not Goku's match.
Among the Z Warriors, only Vegeta could challenge him properly.
Piccolo was strong, but his combat power was about equal to Vegeta's Super Saiyan 1.
