After Piccolo recovered from the Senzu Beans Krillin had given him, he asked, "Goku, are you confident you can defeat Frieza? That guy still has a lot of hidden strength."
"Don't worry! Even if Frieza uses all his strength, he can only warm me up at best!" Goku replied with a mischievous grin.
Hearing this, Piccolo, Krillin, Tien Shinhan, Yamcha, Chiaotzu, and Gohan all felt relieved.
As long as Goku was confident, there was no reason to worry.
Piccolo laughed. "I don't know how you trained, Goku, but your improvement is incredible."
The others nodded in agreement.
They were all amazed at how quickly Goku's strength had grown—faster than a rocket.
Boom~~
Frieza shot out from the bottom of the lake, veins bulging, and roared, "Damn it! Where did this wild monkey come from?"
He exploded with energy and charged toward the Z Warriors.
Seeing Goku, Frieza froze. "Who are you? I feel like I've seen you somewhere… Oh, yes. You're a Saiyan."
"Haha! I didn't expect there to be any Saiyans left besides Vegeta. But since you dare to appear in front of me, prepare to die, Saiyan!" Frieza shouted.
Goku glanced at Piccolo.
Piccolo immediately understood and said, "You all should leave now. Don't interfere with Goku's fight."
The Z Warriors nodded. Staying would only complicate things, so they followed Piccolo and left the battlefield.
Frieza slowly calmed, looking at Goku. "Tell me your name, Saiyan."
"Want to know my name that badly? Fine. It's Kakarot, also known as Goku," he replied.
Frieza's brief calm vanished, replaced with fury.
Clenching his fists, he growled, "Damn Saiyans! You Saiyan monkeys are so stubborn and reckless!"
"Go to hell, Monkey!"
In an instant, Frieza vanished and reappeared in front of Goku.
He punched, but Goku blocked effortlessly. Frieza continued attacking, but all his blows were ineffective.
Frieza's eyes widened in disbelief. "How is this possible? I used a third of my strength… and nothing!"
Realizing his attacks were useless, Frieza stepped back, trying to gauge Goku's true power.
But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't detect Goku's aura.
Frieza's eyes narrowed. "You… you're completely different from the Saiyans I knew."
"Really? And you're scared, Frieza?" Goku said, crossing his arms with a grin.
On the sidelines, the Z Warriors watched in awe.
Yamcha shook with excitement. "It's… too powerful! Goku is so strong that Frieza is completely suppressed!"
"Precisely," Piccolo said. "Goku's strength surpasses Frieza's."
"As expected of Goku," Krillin said. "He'll never let us down."
Tien Shinhan laughed ruefully. "Back then I could fight Goku on equal terms. Now… I'm nothing compared to him."
Hundreds of kilometers away, Vegeta, who had been fleeing, stopped mid-flight. "That aura… it's Kakarot's. No doubt about it."
"But Frieza seems weaker than him. Is this Kakarot's true power?"
"No, I need to see for myself. How can a low-level warrior reach this level? How can I, the Saiyan Prince, feel this?"
Vegeta gave up fleeing and turned back toward the battlefield. He had to witness Kakarot's strength firsthand.
The legend of the Super Saiyan, said to appear once every thousand years, came to mind.
Vegeta had always believed he was the one. Now, Kakarot challenged that belief.
Vegeta's current power was barely over 100,000! Compared to Kakarot… he might as well die trying.
Vegeta sped toward the battlefield, shouting, "Kakarot! I, Vegeta, don't believe you can become a Super Saiyan!"
Meanwhile, Frieza had used half his strength against Goku.
Yet Goku had only blocked and countered—never launching any attacks.
This confused and enraged Frieza. In the past, he teased others, but now a Saiyan was mocking him.
He had never been so angry.
Flying into the air, eyes fixed on Goku, Frieza roared, "Monkey! I will tear you to pieces, or I will never relieve the hatred in my heart!"
"Frieza, here's some advice," Goku teased with a smirk. "Be my thug… maybe you'll achieve something greater."
