Yamcha and Zarbon stepped forward at the same time and faced each other.
Yamcha said excitedly, "This is the perfect chance to test my strength after having my potential unlocked!"
With that, Yamcha began to release his power.
His aura rose rapidly, and the scouter on Zarbon's face beeped continuously as Yamcha's combat power climbed higher and higher.
Burter's eyes widened in disbelief. "What the hell? His combat power's almost 30,000! Can Zarbon even handle this?"
Jeice frowned. "It's hard to say… Zarbon's only at 23,000 according to the scouter. The gap doesn't look good."
Zarbon's expression darkened. He hadn't expected Yamcha's power to rise so quickly.
Grinding his teeth, he transformed, his body twisting into a bulkier, uglier form. His combat power spiked up to 28,000.
Recoome grinned. "Haha! Even if he looks uglier, his power went up a lot."
Guldo shook his head. "But Yamcha is still stronger by almost two thousand points."
"What's the problem?" Captain Ginyu said confidently. "Even if Zarbon loses, I'll crush the rest myself. There's nothing to worry about."
The Ginyu Force laughed together.
On the Z Warriors' side, Tien Shinhan said firmly, "Even though that guy's strong, Yamcha will win this fight."
Krillin nodded. "Yeah, Yamcha's aura is sharper. That's enough to tip the scales."
As they spoke, Yamcha and Zarbon clashed.
At first, their speed and strength seemed evenly matched, but Yamcha was more composed while Zarbon grew more frantic.
This was Yamcha's first real fight after unlocking his potential, and he was steadily adapting to his newfound power.
Zarbon struck relentlessly, but his attacks couldn't land decisively. His frustration grew.
Watching closely, Gohan whispered, "Uncle Piccolo, he's not sensing energy… Zarbon's only relying on his eyes."
Piccolo smirked. "Good catch, Gohan. Your awareness has improved."
Meanwhile, Guldo groaned. "Zarbon's gonna lose."
Burter scoffed. "Pathetic! He's already struggling. How did he ever become one of Frieza's favorites?"
Only Ginyu remained calm. "His opponent's stronger and more skilled. It makes sense Zarbon is falling behind."
Zarbon cursed in his heart. "Damn it! I defeated Vegeta before, and now I'm being humiliated like this?!"
Blood trickled from a wound on his arm. It wasn't fatal, but his stamina was slipping.
After minutes of fighting, Zarbon finally managed to blast Yamcha with an energy ball.
He laughed manically, "Ha! I tricked you! Now the tide has turned!"
Yamcha blocked with his arms, grunting as the blast burned him.
The wound stung, but it was manageable. In fact, it was part of his plan.
Zarbon was still laughing when Yamcha's earlier energy attack, which he had secretly planted and held back, detonated beneath him.
Boom!
The explosion engulfed Zarbon.
Ginyu narrowed his eyes. "Fool. He got careless. Remember this, all of you—don't ever underestimate your enemy."
"Yes, Captain!" the Ginyu Force responded in unison.
As their voices faded, Zarbon's body crashed to the ground, crippled.
Yamcha rushed forward, striking with a final blow that ended him for good.
Panting heavily, Yamcha wiped his brow. "Finally… he's finished."
"Well done, Yamcha!" Krillin and the others cheered.
Yamcha rubbed his nose, embarrassed. "C'mon, don't make fun of me. You're all stronger than me anyway."
Tien Shinhan stepped forward, cracking his knuckles. "You've taken out one. Now it's my turn."
