However, Ron looked around and couldn't find even a single photo of a cat in the office.
He found a piece of writing that perhaps records Umbridge's life? Anyway, the gist of it was—feeding stray cats makes the whole person feel elevated, feeling especially kind-hearted.
Really, you?
Oh my, what kind of thinking is this?
If you like cats so much, why not keep one yourself? You're not a student who can't afford it...
Even Milleson from Slytherin owns a cat!
Comparing it this way, Ron suddenly thought that even that pie-faced Milleson seemed somewhat cute.
He quickly stuffed the paper back and continued searching, finally finding Umbridge's class reports in a box nearby.
Ron flipped through each one, the first report recorded about Snape.
He thought she might say something good about Snape, but... Ron found out Umbridge actually dislikes Snape greatly and even questioned his teaching ability.
The second report was about Professor Flitwick; she didn't find any fault in his teaching but criticized his height.
The third report was for Professor Trelawney of Divination Class, she considered Professor Trelawney a fraud, a useless person brought into Hogwarts by Dumbledore just to collect a paycheck.
Uh...
That's a bit too much, isn't it?
Even though Ron might not like Professor Trelawney, he still felt she didn't deserve this.
Professor Trelawney is just a bit eccentric, likes to hand out death notices, but other than that has no major issues!
He memorized the contents of all reports in his heart, continuing to look at the next one.
Oh... The next report was about the Herbology professor, Professor Sprout, and it wasn't flattering; it mainly said she was too hot-tempered to be a professor.
Really?
Professor Sprout is hot-tempered?
Ron was amused.
He continued flipping, and next was Professor McGonagall—not a good word there either.
Further along, he finally found the report on Professor Scamander.
Several circles were drawn on the report, the gist being—Professor Scamander doesn't like teaching at Hogwarts, prefers a carefree life, and only took up teaching under Dumbledore's coercion...
Ron scratched his head, thinking it over, he didn't feel Professor Scamander implied that today...
Why was she distorting facts, misinterpreting Professor Scamander's words, what was her purpose?
Having found the target, Ron quietly restored the reports to their place, then slowly walked out of Umbridge's office.
Yet, when he reached the steps, he found that Professor Umbridge had somehow already returned to the classroom.
She looked somewhat disheveled, hair messy, mud on her feet, legs, and skirt, with a grim expression as if she wanted to bite someone's head off.
But the problem now was that the steps were too narrow, just enough space for one person to pass.
If he turned back into the office, the door opening would definitely be heard by Umbridge.
He hadn't been discovered by Umbridge earlier, probably because she was farther away, and his door-opening minimal, so he wasn't noticed—but now it's different, Professor Umbridge is already on the steps, the office door is very close.
What to do?
Watching Umbridge get closer, Ron gritted his teeth, anger emerging, courage building.
Dammit...
The bold are fed, the timid starve!
Under the Invisibility Cloak, he pulled out his Magic Wand, holding his breath, intensely watching Professor Umbridge approach.
As she walked beside him, Ron suddenly shouted.
"Stupefy!"
Professor Umbridge hadn't noticed Ron at all, only thinking about getting back to the office for a good shower and finding out who dared do such a thing.
This left her completely undefended against the spell, Ron's Stupefy struck firmly, Umbridge groaned and fell to the ground.
Now's the moment!
Ron sidestepped Umbridge, tightened the Invisibility Cloak.
He remembered not to let the cloak slip off, lest his position be exposed.
Under the Invisibility Cloak, Ron reached the abandoned classroom on the second floor, as arranged with the Weasley Twins.
He was still trembling uncontrollably as he descended the stairs.
Partly from tension, partly from fear.
No way around it, this was an attack on a professor!
Even if Umbridge wasn't very competent, she's still a professor!
Furthermore, Umbridge is a Senior Investigator for the Ministry of Magic; if discovered, it would be a disaster.
Entering the classroom, he pulled off the Invisibility Cloak.
Seeing Ron arrive, the twins exchanged glances.
"How was it, Little Ronnie?" the Weasley Twins asked cheerfully, "Did you find what you wanted?"
"I did." Ron said, panting.
"What's wrong?" Fred asked, "You look tense and a bit shaky? My, you aren't afraid of getting caught by Umbridge, are you? Surely not?"
"You really aren't, right?" George teased too, "You've already made it out, why would you still be afraid?"
"I..." Ron hesitated.
"What's up?" the twins said in unison.
"I just used a Stunning Spell on Umbridge!" Ron said through gritted teeth, "Easy for you to say, try attacking a professor sometime!"
"Actually, we already have." Fred spread his hands, "When you were in first year, we hit Quirrell with snowballs, remember?"
"Well, you try attacking a Ministry of Magic official!" Ron challenged.
"Oh come on, Ron!" George patted Ron's shoulder, "What's an official at the Ministry? Weren't we throwing snowballs at You-Know-Who stuck on Quirrell's head back then? And what happened? We are still here! You think attacking a Ministry official is bigger than attacking Voldemort?"
Ron was momentarily speechless.
He admitted, the twins did have a point.
Right, what's wrong with attacking a Ministry official? Is it comparable to attacking Voldemort?
"However." The twins exchanged a glance, speaking in unison: "We must admit, you've truly impressed us, Little Ronnie."
"Huh?" Ron scratched his head.
"I always thought you'd be ordinary." Fred put his arm around Ron's shoulder.
"A mediocre nobody." George put his arm around Ron's shoulder from the right.
"But what I didn't expect was that you'd accomplish such an earthshaking feat." The twins spoke together: "Mamma mia, this really reassures us—Ron, you're truly our brother..."
"Let's go back." Ron said wearily, "I just want to sleep, sleep for a while..."
"Okay." The twins said cheerfully, "Put on the Invisibility Cloak again and follow us to the common room—don't tell anyone about tonight, not even Hermione!"
"Why not?" Ron asked.
George rolled his eyes.
"Ronald Weasley! It's one thing to suggest such a dangerous plan! But attacking a professor!" He mimicked Hermione's tone perfectly, successfully amusing Fred and Ron.
It was so accurate, especially the demeanor and tone, it was like a version of Hermione.
After a bit of laughter, Ron asked again.
"What about Harry?"
"Oh, Harry is fine." Fred patted Ron's shoulder, "He has ample experience attacking professors; after all, remember it was him who hung that pink toad Umbridge upside down in class, right?"
