Chapter 685 - Chapter 265: Inviting Cassandra_2

Upon hearing Harry's words, Hermione felt a joy in her heart.

However, Ron puffed up his cheeks, just about to retort when Harry firmly pressed his shoulder down.

You better keep quiet, mate!

"In that case, why didn't you tell me earlier?" Hermione said cheerfully, standing up and handing her exam paper to Professor Snape before bowing her head and said, "I reluctantly agree, Ronald—otherwise you'll be laughed at for not finding a dance partner, haha~"

With that, Hermione hopped away like a little bunny from the Great Hall.

"You're really…" Ron was unsure whether to feel happy or unhappy, anyway… it was a bit complicated.

"Oh, you're welcome." Harry said, "If I let you speak, you might say something hurtful and scare Hermione away—"

"What do you mean scare away?" Ron objected, "Don't just talk about me, let's talk about you… I think you should make a choice, being indecisive isn't a solution, I suggest you decide as soon as possible, what do you think?"

"I've decided…"

Before he finished speaking, Snape appeared behind them, smacking both on the head with a roll of parchment.

Harry shrugged, stood up and handed the parchment on the table to Snape.

Snape took it, coldly snorted.

Harry really wanted to ask if Snape ever attended the Christmas dance during school days, if he was all alone, but he wisely held back.

If he was gritting his teeth sitting outside the dance floor, watching James and Lily gracefully dancing inside, then it would be…

Not ideal.

After leaving the Great Hall, Harry planned to head to the Slytherin common room to find Cassandra.

Upon reaching the entrance, he saw Draco standing there, chatting merrily with Crabbe and Gall.

"Draco." He said.

Draco turned around, seeing it was Harry, greeted him with a smile.

Harry pointed towards the common room and asked, "Is Cassandra in there? I have something important to discuss with her."

Hearing Harry's question, Draco tactically leaned back, showing respect.

"Seems like you finally figured it out?" Draco babbled, looking very happy, "You finally figured it out, to invite Cassandra to the dance, be your dance partner… I'd say too, Miss Grindelwald has graduated from Hogwarts after all… I mean, graduated…"

Even if Draco wanted to stand up for Cassandra, he wouldn't dare to speak ill of Vivi.

Especially if Vivi found out, even Harry and Cassandra wouldn't be able to protect him.

"Call her out." Harry told Draco.

Draco went off cheerfully, and shortly after, he came out accompanied by the cold-looking Cassandra.

"Speak." Cassandra raised her head, her long neck graceful like a swan, "What do you want with me? Or are you here to inform me of some unpleasant news?"

Harry suspiciously glanced at Draco, who shrugged, indicating he didn't spoil the surprise beforehand.

"Come with me." Harry said to Cassandra, and didn't forget to hold Cassandra's little hand.

Draco took a deep breath, holding his breath, not daring to ruin this historic moment.

Great! Really great!

Potter's finally got it! Starting to voluntarily hold my ancestor's hand!

Suddenly having her hand held, Cassandra froze.

She didn't expect Harry to be so direct.

It should be said Cassandra's little hand felt nice, she liked wearing white lace gloves on her hands all year round, although couldn't feel the skin inside, still could sense an astonishing softness through the gloves.

Not at all like her personality—though not quite right, should say, peeling away Cassandra's proud shell, she was actually quite soft inside.

Being led by the hand, Cassandra said nothing, raised her head and followed Harry onwards.

But her little face was blushing, and if someone looked carefully, they could see her beautiful eyes had become unfocused.

Harry led her to an unused classroom, shut the door, but didn't let go of the hand he was holding.

It was at this moment that Cassandra finally came back to her senses.

She surveyed the surroundings, parted her lips lightly.

"Why, do you have something shameful to discuss here? Need to bring me here to say it?"

The sarcasm in her eyes was evident to Harry.

The little mole at the corner of her eye added a few more charming traits.

"Kathy." He said, "I, well…"

"What's wrong?" Cassandra asked.

Images of Vivi—furious version, like when she taught Gellert a lesson—flashed in his head.

But it was only a thought, for he quickly chased away the image of Vivi.

Kidding, if let her scare me, how could he enjoy this bliss later?

He took a deep breath, slowly and firmly looking at Cassandra.

"I want to invite you to the dance with me." He said.

Upon hearing this news, Cassandra was momentarily distracted.

Her lips then curled slightly.

"Is that so." Cassandra chuckled softly, "What's it—Grindelwald turned you down? So you're settling for me to go to the dance with you?"

As soon as the words left her mouth, she regretted it a bit, though the speech was just a reflex, she got used to verbally teasing.

Harry, who understood her, naturally wouldn't mind, he leaned against the table beside Cassandra, still holding onto her hand.

"I'm serious, Kathy." He said, "I haven't invited Vivi, nor have I invited Pabi… I think I should invite you to this dance, just you."

Cassandra's throat shifted, and an inexplicable brilliance sparked in her eyes.

"Oh?" She asked, "Why?"

Reasons?

Reasons are abundant…

But Harry, who had thoroughly learned Little Sirius's craft, knew the best solution in this situation.

"Is there always a need for reasons?" Harry laughed, reaching out and ruffled Cassandra's hair, "I just thought about it and did it, that's all."

This answer, undoubtedly was perfect.

Cassandra's gaze gradually softened, ultimately turning into a gentle gaze.

"Okay." She smiled and nodded: "I agree, to go to the Christmas dance with you…"

After that, she asked with a hint of amusement: "What about your Grindelwald? If she knows you invited me, but didn't invite her, I think given her personality, she might just topple Hogwarts castle…"

Hey, what's "my Grindelwald"...

Oh, actually that's just what she really is.

"I'll tell her about it tonight."

Harry replied with a smile, letting go of Cassandra's hand, switching to her thigh.

"Rest assured, she'll understand."

"I don't think so." Cassandra seemed to hold back a laugh, her eyes full of jest.

She seemed to have already imagined how much Vivi would freak out upon learning the news.

Even after all her calculations, she didn't expect Harry would take the initiative to invite her...

Just thinking about it made Cassandra feel like a hundred-year-old repressed anger was thoroughly dissipating today.

Hum,

Grindelwald...

It's finally your turn!

As Cassandra was happily daydreaming, the crystal ball communicator in Harry's arms suddenly rang.

"It's Vivi calling." Harry's heart thudded heavily, calling at this time, what's Vivi planning?

He answered Vivi's call, and Vivi's holographic image immediately appeared in front of him.

"Harry," Vivi said with a gentle smile, "Where did you go? How come I couldn't find you? Oh... I happened to have a day off today, Hermione and Ron said you weren't in the Gryffindor common room?"
