Chapter 257 - Chapter 136: Dumbledore's Misfortune (Second Update)_2

Lucius wasn't surprised at all by this outcome.

In fact, when Draco wrote to contact him, Lucius couldn't think of any reason to refuse Harry.

Supporting that lunatic Voldemort, especially as just a remnant soul, was clearly a dead end—but this Harry in front of him was not just the legendary wizard from a hundred years ago, but also rumored to be his grandaunt's boyfriend...

Even his great-grandfather, Mr. Septimus, valued this Harry greatly—to the extent that Mr. Potter's growth was inseparable from the support of the Malfoy family.

Lucius didn't expect Mr. Potter to be "grateful" and follow the Malfoy family... After all, he's just Lucius, not Septimus.

But he knew that Mr. Potter was the most loyal and righteous. Having received the support of the Malfoy family back then, he would inevitably honor that relationship.

The future Malfoy family would definitely receive Mr. Potter's care, rather than trembling in fear behind Voldemort, afraid of misspeaking and receiving an Avada Kedavra.

Lucius understood this very clearly.

What's more, his grand-aunt Cassandra Malfoy seemed to be time traveling; if she returned loyal to the Malfoy family...

Good heavens, Lucius dared not imagine—legendary wizard Mr. Potter, actually a son-in-law of the Malfoy family, this...

Lucius only felt like his dignity was as exposed as a child's wet bed, infinitely magnified in a limited space.

"Then I must say, headmaster, you've been through quite an ordeal. Former headmaster." Harry thoughtfully added the word 'former', then said, "Now that everything is clear, could I ask you to come back, headmaster?"

Lucius took out a delicate little box from his pocket, handed it to Harry, and said, "This is something the fairies at Gringotts asked me to deliver to you. Please keep it safe."

He swore that the reason he was treating Harry with such respect wasn't just because of Harry's power—well, partly, but mainly because Mr. Potter was his elder.

A grand-uncle is also an elder, don't mind that he's only twelve.

Ever since hearing about Harry and Cassandra's relationship from Mr. Septimus, Lucius made up his mind—no matter who opposed it in the future, he would never waver! Our Malfoy family is a staunch supporter of the Haka Party!

Yes, the Malfoy family is indeed fickle, but the Malfoy family has always put family first!

For his grandaunt's lifelong happiness, we must be unwavering supporters of the Haka Party ah ah ah ah!

However, Septimus never told Lucius about his daughter's tsundere nature.

How to put it? It's a bit hard to express.

"Let me send a message to Dumbledore now." Lucius said, waving at the Phoenix on the bird stand.

Fox flapped his wings and disappeared from sight.

"Harry!"

Phineas's voice rang out.

"Oh, Phineas." Harry turned back to greet, "I didn't expect you to still be in the portrait at this time."

"Did you expect me to come out and resume being headmaster of Hogwarts?" Phineas snorted, "Don't think I didn't know about your words circulating in the school back then, 'As long as you oppose Principal Phineas Black, we are best friends', right? I remember you bonding with Sebastian Saru over this!"

"Haha." Harry laughed unabashedly, "If possible, I'd prefer you take responsibility and come out to be headmaster of Hogwarts—though you're annoying, honestly, it was only after encountering dark wizards and big events that I understood your thoughtful intentions back then."

"Heh." Phineas laughed proudly, pointing around at the surrounding frames, "See that? This is my student! My student! My most favored Harry Potter!"

Harry: ...

If those words got to students from a century ago, he'd be in trouble...

Especially knowing his fellow student two years below, Sirius Black, Phineas's son, had suffered jabs from classmates because of Principal Black.

"But I've been stifled recently." Principal Black said, "Carrying a secret, unable to speak with Dumbledore, still keeping your secrets... I'm really quite exhausted. When do you plan to reveal things to your old junior?"

"Soon." Harry thought, when Vivi returns, surely I'll head to Nimongard to settle accounts.

Having found Gellert, Gellert's boyfriend Dumbledore wouldn't escape, surely he'd be dealt with as well...

At that time, hiding from Dumbledore would be impossible.

Not to mention, it wasn't intentional to hide from Dumbledore, you can't just sit here and say to him, "Hey, old bee, I'm your senior." right?

If Dumbledore's in a good mood, he might just laugh it off.

But if he's in a bad mood, who knows what unpleasant words he might say.

In such matters, anyone would find it hard to believe, let alone a century-old wizard.

"Alright, I have a feeling Dumbledore's coming back." Phineas said, "If you have time, come to Grimmauld Square No. 12 to find me, it's our old Black house—"

"Don't worry, I'll go." Harry nodded at him.

Just as he finished speaking, a burst of flame flickered through the headmaster's office.

Professor Dumbledore returned to the headmaster's office with a Phoenix perched on his shoulder, via Apparition Displacement.

"Professor Dumbledore." Harry nodded in greeting.

"Harry," Professor Dumbledore waved at him, and nodded in acknowledgment to Lucius, "Lucius, thank you for your effort."

"It's what an overseer should do." Lucius smiled and said to Dumbledore, "If there's nothing else, I should excuse myself now—I've fulfilled my duties as an overseer."

"Thank you." Professor Dumbledore nodded.

Once Lucius left the headmaster's office, Dumbledore said to Harry, "Let's talk about what happened in the Secret Chamber—I remember instructing you yesterday to bring the four heads, right? Why aren't they here?"

"Things happened too suddenly," Harry said, "So I went there myself and forgot to notify them."

Professor Dumbledore shook his head and said, "I hope you won't be so reckless next time, Harry, I know you are different from the young wizards, but don't be too overconfident..."

Harry thought, if I brought the professors, then I couldn't have performed to my real level—some not-so-elegant little spells I wouldn't dare use...

"Next time, I'll be more careful, Professor." Harry glanced back at the somewhat shrinking Pansy, and said to Dumbledore, "Just like we speculated earlier, Miss Pansy Parkinson is the culprit who opened the secret chamber and petrified Colin Creevey."

Professor Dumbledore's expression suddenly became serious.

"But." Harry said with a twist, "I dripped a little Truth Serum into the pumpkin juice, and with Miss Parkinson's prior consent, she recounted the events to me. After confirmation, Miss Parkinson was indeed influenced by Voldemort's Soul-snatching Curse, and not acting on her own will."

"I understand." Professor Dumbledore's expression relaxed, he said to Pansy, "Miss Parkinson, would you like some Cockroach Clusters?"

With that, he somehow pulled out a candy jar, opened it and grabbed a handful of still-kicking cockroaches.

Pansy let out a big sob; she knew she couldn't avoid punishment, but hadn't expected the punishment to be eating live cockroaches.
