Chapter 251 - Chapter 134: Secret Chamber, Snake Monster, Tom!_5

The Dripping Stone Beast moved aside as soon as Harry stepped onto the eighth floor.

Harry walked into the headmaster's office without any hindrance.

"Oh, Harry." Dumbledore asked with delight upon seeing Harry, "So, did you find out anything?"

Harry said nothing, took out a basilisk fang, and placed it on the headmaster's desk.

Dumbledore didn't understand Harry's meaning and looked suspiciously at the fang and then at Harry.

"So... what is this?" He asked, puzzled, as he looked at the fang which was still oozing black venom.

"Basilisk fang." Harry said succinctly, "I found the Chamber of Secrets; the entrance is in the second-floor bathroom, but you need Parseltongue to open it. I really don't know why Slytherin had such a peculiar taste."

"Because Slytherin liked snakes."

Professor Dumbledore picked up the fang, looked at it under the sunlight, and glanced at Harry quite amazed.

"I really didn't expect that a young wizard of your age could face a basilisk alone and pull its tooth..."

Saying this, Dumbledore naturally pocketed the fang.

Harry said nothing, holding his hand open over the desk.

"Haha, forgive an old man's collecting habit." Professor Dumbledore laughed awkwardly and returned the fang to Harry, "But I still want to remind you that the basilisk's venom is highly toxic, so you'd better be cautious."

"Don't worry." Harry nodded and said, "I will be careful."

"But I'm still somewhat puzzled, how did you defeat the basilisk?" Professor Dumbledore asked in confusion, "Even if you are a descendant of ancient magic…"

"Of course, I persuaded the basilisk." Harry opened his hands in a typical helpless gesture, "The basilisk only obeys the commands of a Slytherin heir, but I told it the truth—the secrets about Voldemort's lineage. After knowing the truth, the basilisk became furious, feeling humiliated, thinking a mixed-blood Mudblood is not worthy of being a great Slytherin heir."

"But you aren't a Slytherin heir." Dumbledore said.

"I got Omnius Gaunt's notes in the Chamber." Harry said succinctly, "I know he is Marvolo Gaunt's brother, which means he would be Voldemort's uncle, so I pretended to be him."

"How did you make it believe you?" Professor Dumbledore was still puzzled, "Harry, I'm just curious; you can choose not to say anything, as everyone has their little secrets."

"It's not really a secret, because I'm a natural Parselmouth." Harry said with a smile.

"A natural Parselmouth?"

Dumbledore felt that this day's shocks were enough, but hearing a Gryffindor being a natural Parselmouth was even more surprising.

He opened his mouth, then chose to remain silent.

Never mind, it's better not to ask.

"So what's your next plan?" Dumbledore asked again.

Harry thought for a moment and then said, "I want Draco to write a letter to his father, asking him to unite the school board to put pressure on you to force your resignation."

Dumbledore pondered for a moment, then said to Harry, "If you can persuade Lucius, that would be a good plan."

He couldn't help but sigh in his heart, Harry truly was the most mentally mature, skillful, and promising young wizard of his age he had ever met.

Finding someone comparable could be that transfer student a century ago.

Thinking of that transfer student made Dumbledore's eyelids involuntarily twitch.

He knew that transfer student was Gellert's eldest sister.

"Don't worry; I'll give Lucius Malfoy an offer he can't refuse." Harry said.

After leaving the headmaster's office, he found Miss Farley, who was studying in the Great Hall.

Harry left her a small note and then turned to leave.

"Take Draco to an empty classroom on the second floor later; I will be waiting for you there."

After reading it, Miss Farley burned the note.

She pretended to continue reading, and after about five or six minutes, she stood up and called Draco away.

"Why is Miss Farley calling Draco?" Pansy craned her neck and asked curiously.

"I heard it's about his father; it seems to be about some relationships among the parents." Crabbe said without looking up.

Pansy nodded, said "Oh," and continued to study in her spot.

In the empty classroom, Harry was feeding small snacks to the basilisk absentmindedly.

The basilisk in his wallet was happy, swishing its tail and hissing joyfully.

Upon hearing someone approaching, Harry whispered to the wallet and then looked up.

"Harry, you just said…" Draco asked with keen interest.

"I said someone was coming, and I'd feed you later." Harry said with a calm expression, "Parselmouth—you've heard of this ability."

"Parselmouth?!" Miss Farley and Draco were both shocked.

Parselmouth was a very rare ability, and it was usually hereditary—all Parselmouths were nearly always descendants of Salazar Slytherin.

This explosive news undeniably astonished the two orthodox Slytherin students.

"Oh my, Harry…" Miss Farley said excitedly, clutching her collar, breathing heavily, "Would you be interested in coming to Slytherin? Oh, I'm sure you would be Slytherin's most outstanding graduate ever..."
