Chapter 107 - Chapter 96: Cassandra Dumped You! (Second Update)

Harry certainly didn't think about that class; he tiptoed back to the Gryffindor common room, planning to get a good night's sleep.

The next morning, it was still Magic Potion Class.

But now he knew why Professor Snape was so harsh on Gryffindor, and his feelings towards Snape were indescribably complex.

At least that night, he had come.

Hmm... who was the other person? The one calling out his father's name...

Harry rubbed his eyes, not noticing that Professor Snape was calling his name.

"Potter!" Snape narrowed his eyes and said with a bad tone, "Do you think that stopping Quirrell's plot makes you very capable? Gryffindor will lose two points for you skipping class!"

Harry just looked up and smiled at Snape, but unexpectedly, because of this smile, Gryffindor lost another three points.

The reason was arrogance.

"Oh heavens, he really is..."

After class, Ron and Harry were complaining about Snape in the Gryffindor common room: "I think he just doesn't like the look of you..."

"Well, he doesn't like the look of me because I look like my dad." Harry shrugged, "Almost from the same mold, except for the eyes."

"Why?" Hermione asked, confused, "Didn't you say your parents and Professor Snape were good friends? Why say that now?"

It was dinner time, Seamus and Neville weren't there, only the three of them were lounging in the common room.

So Harry didn't plan on keeping it a secret and told them about what his dad did.

"Oh heavens." Hermione's mouth gaped, "Now I understand why Professor Snape dislikes Gryffindor so much. Honestly, if it were me, I'd hold a grudge against the whole Gryffindor too..."

"Just like you dislike Slytherin?" Harry glanced at Hermione.

Hermione didn't respond, tacitly agreeing with Harry's words.

Ron also didn't know what to say. He thought for a long time and said something he probably shouldn't have: "Then what will you do? Will you apologize to him?"

Hearing this, Harry rolled his eyes.

"Oh come on, Ron, you think I should go to Professor Snape and say, 'Oh, Professor Snape, I'm sorry my dad hung you upside down, and it was seen by other students—especially my mom who saw your underwear which was so dirty it turned black after not being washed for a long time'—dude, do you think that's an apology or a provocation?"

"I have no doubt that if you said that, Gryffindor would lose ten thousand points." Ron swallowed hard.

At noon, Harry went to the Forbidden Forest, but didn't find Pabi.

When he came back, he learned from Hermione that she had informed Pabi about Harry fainting.

Initially, Hermione planned to feed Pabi, but Pabi decided to come back to the edge of the Forbidden Forest next week to find Harry.

Harry breathed a sigh of relief, he thought something had happened to Pabi.

After that morning's classes, it was time for the final exams.

For the final exams, students weren't allowed to bring their own paper and pen; the professors provided specially made anti-cheating exam tools.

Apart from the written exam, there was also a practical test.

For example, in the Spell Class final exam, the short Professor Flitwick called the students one by one into the classroom to see if they could make a pineapple tap dance across a table.

Harry had a lot of fun; he not only made the pineapple tap dance but also strictly matched the rhythm of the record that Professor Flitwick played.

The Transformation Class required practical exercises as well. Professor McGonagall watched everyone turn a mouse into a snuffbox—the more exquisite the box, the higher the score; if the box still had the mouse's whiskers, points were deducted.

In the Magic Potion exam, the students desperately recalled the formulation procedure of the Forgetfulness Potion.

Snape stood behind them, closely observing everyone, and they could even feel his breath on the back of their necks, which made them very nervous.

No kidding, having such a big oily-haired black bat behind anyone would make anyone nervous!

No one wanted to be splattered by the old bat, especially Harry, who always felt like Professor Snape was following him around like a ghost.

Soon, they were facing the last exam.

The weather was stiflingly hot, especially during the test, the classroom was even hotter than outside, and taking a test on History of Magic made them even more anxious.

Harry and Hermione whispered as they completed their exams, and to everyone's surprise, Ron, who usually wasn't interested in History of Magic and was a long-time underachiever, was writing furiously, madly answering the questions with his feather pen.

Even when he handed in the paper, Ron was all smiles.

The reason was that the exam topic was... the suppression of the goblin rebellion.

Spending so much time with Harry, Hermione, and Pabi, listening to stories for so long, even if Ron were a pig, he'd remember the stories Pabi told.

Moreover, the protagonist of the stories was Harry Potter, the same name as his best brother.

Because of that, Ron unexpectedly made an extra effort in History of Magic.

Lying on the grass by the Black Lake, Ron took a happy deep breath, making swimming motions with his arms and legs, "How great, no more revisions needed."

"Yes, how great indeed."

A clear voice rang around them.

"Pabi!" Ron cheered.

Harry sat up and looked in Pabi's direction.
