Damien ended the call just as she was leaving Andrian's office, a mischievous smile was spreading across his face.
He thought Fidelia had no idea that the call had not ended nor that he had been listening when her troubles with Andrian began. Now, he knew their plan, and he was ready to act. The thought thrilled him. Because of him, their marriage was on the verge of collapse, and soon, Andrian's company would be his to control.
Originally, Damien had intended to use the money Fidelia was sending him to buy shares. But now that the deal was secured, he was confident the money would return to him regardless. One way or another, he would still buy those shares.
But he needed funds immediately. Without hesitation, he picked up the phone and called his secretary.
"I want you to get your hands on the shares of Alisocial Company," Damien ordered sharply. "Buy everything you can, every single share available. I don't care what it costs. Secure loans from anywhere you can, as quickly as possible. Tell them we'll pay back in full. This company can not slip through our fingers. If we launch with this product, the profits will be enormous. Now go make it happen."
"Yes, sir," the secretary replied crisply before hurrying out of the office. A moment later, she was already giving instructions: buy every share they could, as fast as possible.
Fidelia, who had been walking out of Andrian's office, turned back and moved towards the secretary she had met with earlier when she came into the company. Fidelia got her number and told her to be on alert. Her plan was to trap Silas, but it somehow ended with Damien, who she didn't expect his call.
But either way, it worked well for her. The plan was to stage a fake fight and for the secretary to inform them that the stock was being sold out by investors. This led them to want to get their hands on the stock and buy it no matter what.
Fidelia and Andrian have been able to immediately buy out a large amount of shares that were being sold out; now, they only need to make Silas and Damien buy it at a higher rate.
You did great in there" She did a high five to the female secretary
"Thank you so much ma" The lady smiled in excitement as she bowed.
"Sarah, right? You really left a good impression on me. How would you like to work for me?"
"Ma? Really? Yes, I would love to" Sarah couldn't help but let her emotions show in her face. She was someone who worked really hard and was loyal. She needed to rise to the top. But not through doing all sorts of unpleasant stuff.
"Alright, let's talk later. I'll speak with Andrian and settle it with him"
"Thank you ma" She bowed once again.
Fidelia turned back into Andrian's office, and he was waiting for her.
"Alright you need to explain to me what's going on" Andrian stood and rested on his desk.
"No problem " Fidelia smiled.
"Remember I told you that you should acquire the Alisocial Tech Company?:
"Yes?"
"You said it was a good deal, and it has potential"
"Yes love but its potential has come to end…what's most importantly is the Brain of the Company, Brian Jefferson. That's why we brought him in and gave him room to explore his ideas. Without him, Alisocial Tech is nothing.
'Love?' Andrian thought, but he kept quiet.
"I remember promising him a lot and signing a contract"
"Trust me, it's worth it. That's why I told you to settle the workers' debts and clear out any charges tied to the company. If we hadn't, Silas would've used it against you by now, and you would have had issues with the National Investigation Bureau (NIB)"
"Now do you see?"
"I found a trustworthy business partner," Andrian smiled. He still can't imagine how she had planned everything so well.
"Hey and wife too" Fidelia teased him.
"Don't push it…your case is still there that hasn't been solved. My grandmother won't be easy to convince again"
"That's where Silas did catch me off guard. I didn't expect he would use such methods to ruin my reputation and chances as getting married"
"So did I…we need to clear your name first "
"No way…let me get famous a bit. First, we need to make money. The shares I told you to buy, it's time to cash in. We'll sell them, and Silas and Damien will snatch them up at a high price. While they bleed, we profit crazily"
Andrian paused his face, having a blank expression.
'Aren't you supposed to be worried about yourself instead of money?'
"Alright let's get everything's started…I'll inform the team"
"I'll inform mine too"
Then Andrian walked out, and Fidelia followed behind him as they walked out of his office. Meanwhile, Fidelia was dialling Mia.
The trading room was filled up with staffs preoccupied by their job. Lots of screen displayed numbers, which were either rising or falling. At least everyone had one screen facing them
"Everyone, gather around and listen up.. we have work to do!" Andrian deep voice echoed in the room, attracting everyone's attention, and they dropped all they were doing and stood up immediately facing him.
"The shares of Alisocial Tech we bought now is the time. I want every last one of you to sell it...not a single share left behind. Do you understand?"
'What?' They shared the same thought and expression. They had worked their ass to buy those shares, and now they had to sell it.
"I understand your thoughts but do as I have instructed you. Now, let's get to work!"
Their heads turned back to the screen, and their fingers motioned above the keyboards.
Noise erupted again once more. Call came in, and some staff picked another set were negotiating.
From the far side of the room, Fidelia relayed the command as she was on a call with Mia. "Mia, it's time. You heard him sell. Don't wait. And don't you dare sell at a loss....you warned me it was risky, right.... now this is the real risk. "
"Oh God, Fidelia, I'm growing grey hairs already... I'm on it," Mia said, and then she instructed the team from her end.
The room erupted in a frenzy of activity. Assistants hammered commands into their terminals. Green and red bars flashed across monitors, signalling the storm of trades. Numbers rose, spiking higher, faster.
"They're buying," an assistant shouted over the chaos, his eyes glued to the screen. "They're actually buying at higher prices. Our profit margins are climbing!"
A roar of excitement spread across the room. Smiles broke out, hands slapped backs, relief filled the air. It was working.
"What..wait something is wrong" Someone spoke.
But then an alarm sounded that caught everyone's attention, and Andrian and Fidelia's eyes opened widely
'This... it's impossible!"
