Chapter 114 - Ayla and Buli

Takeshi had seen quite a bit of the world in the past year, considering himself well-traveled and experienced. He had witnessed the hundreds of meters high walls of Sobelia and danced with demons.

However, the walls of the Kingdom of Sobelia were dwarfed by comparison. Takeshi estimated these city walls to be at least 300 meters tall.

Besides the towering walls, what also shocked him were the guards at the gate, who must have been twenty to thirty meters tall. Standing there, they looked like mountains.

Just as Takeshi was lost in thought, he was suddenly grabbed by a large hand.

"What?!"

The sudden surprise left Takeshi no time to react. Just as he was about to use Take Over Magic, he heard a childish voice.

"Mommy! Look what I found. A little dwarf."

Takeshi looked up and saw a giant child, nearly ten meters tall, with snot running from his nose. Why he thought he was a child was obvious from his innocent face, the running snot, and his missing several teeth.

"Buli, what are you doing? Let go of him quickly." A woman over twenty meters tall, seeing Takeshi being held by her mischievous child, quickly spoke.

"I'm sorry, are you okay? This rascal Buli doesn't know his own strength. I'm really sorry." The female giant knelt down and apologized to Takeshi.

"Buli, apologize quickly."

"Sorry."

Takeshi patted his clothes and said, "It's fine."

"That's good. Hello, my name is Ayla, and this is my child, Buli. You're a human, aren't you? It's quite rare for a human to come to the Albaf Kingdom."

Takeshi asked, "Hmm, why? Do humans rarely come here?"

"Yes. On one hand, humans are afraid of giants, and on the other hand, there's the great canyon, very few people can pass through there."

"Hmm, that's true."

Takeshi had seen it when flying over from above. Besides the treacherous terrain, the great canyon was home to countless magical beasts, making normal passage difficult.

Ayla asked, "Do you have a purpose for coming to the Albaf Kingdom?"

Takeshi answered, "I am a Mage from Fairy Tail, and I've come here on a mission."

"A Mage?! Is that the kind of Mage who can conjure fire and lightning and such?" Buli's eyes immediately lit up.

"Hmm... something like that."

"Wow! So amazing. Can you show me?"

Ayla said, "Buli, don't be so rude."

"Then I'll give you candy, can you show me?" Buli said, pulling out a basketball-sized candy.

Takeshi couldn't help but twitch his lips when he saw it. He was sure he'd get diabetes if he ate that candy.

"No need. You just want to see magic, right? I'll show you."

Takeshi looked at this big kid and thought of himself. If someone had performed magic for him when he was little, he would have been incredibly happy.

"Full Body Take Over: Ace."

Takeshi transformed into Ace.

"Oh! He transformed."

Ayla and Buli were both amazed by Takeshi's transformation.

Although Ayla was older, she had only seen a few humans and had never seen what magic looked like. The magic Buli knew about was what she had told him.

Fire Fist!

Takeshi's right hand transformed into a giant fiery arm, and he punched a large rock not far away.

Boom!

The huge rock was instantly shattered by the Fire Fist.

"Wow!"

"So amazing!"

Ayla and Buli cheered.

The commotion here naturally attracted the attention of the guards.

"What's going on?" A guard came over and asked.

"Nothing, this human mage just performed magic for us."

"Hmm? A human mage? This is a rare guest. Human mage, welcome to the Albaf Kingdom. Do you have something you need?"

"Hello, I am a mage from Fairy Tail, and I have come on a Quest from the King."

"The King's mission... could it be that one?! Esteemed Mages, please come in."

The guard seemed to have thought of something. His expression subtly changed, and then his attitude became very respectful, allowing them to pass.

Soon, Takeshi passed through a passage about eight hundred meters long. After exiting the passage, a vast, open space appeared, a world magnified dozens of times before his eyes.

On the streets, people came and went, all of them incredibly tall giants. Takeshi felt like an ant in front of them.

Ayla said to Takeshi, "Do you want to go to the palace? I'll take you there. Otherwise, it will take a long time, and it wouldn't be good if you got lost."

"Then I thank you." Takeshi nodded at her words.

To be honest, he had a way to get there, but that would be a bit too ostentatious. If he walked normally, he wasn't worried about the distance, he was worried about accidentally being stepped on and killed by a giant who mistook him for an ant.

As his magic power increased, Takeshi's physical condition also greatly improved, making him much stronger than other mages. However, in front of giants, his physical condition was nothing. If he were stepped on, he would be at least severely injured if not dead.

Ayla placed Takeshi on her shoulder and said, "Don't mention it. After all, you showed me what magic is, and that fulfills a childhood wish of mine."

Sitting on Ayla's shoulder, Takeshi's only feeling was astonishment at the immense size. Not only were the giants big, but the buildings and things in the kingdom were also very large.

For example, an apple was bigger than him. He felt that if he ate this one, he wouldn't want to eat apples for a month.

Takeshi asked, "What? You haven't seen magic either?"

"Yes. This place is quite remote after all, and humans rarely appear. Even if a mage came, you can't just grab them and make them perform magic for you, haha."

Takeshi chuckled. "Heh heh, that's true. What are you doing in the royal capital? Are you here to shop?"

Ayla shook her head. "No, we came to the royal capital to seek refuge."

Takeshi curiously asked, "Refuge? Is there something that even you giants find dangerous?"

Ayla and Buli may seem like a normal woman and a child but even if they didn't understand combat at all, their powerful physiques would be enough to resist any enemy.

"Hmm, no, it's because recently a guy specializing in kidnapping children has appeared in the Albaf Kingdom. Dozens of children have already gone missing. To prevent the situation from worsening, the King has ordered all children in the country to come to the royal capital for refuge."

"I see."

Hearing Ayla's words, Takeshi roughly understood that the King probably wanted him to help rescue those children.

After that, Ayla and Buli chatted with Takeshi all the way. They were very curious about what the outside world was like, and Takeshi answered each of their questions.

About half an hour later, Takeshi arrived in front of the Albaf Kingdom's royal palace.
