Chapter 164 - Chapter 164: Married Game Adventure

Wriggle thoroughly enjoyed this warmth and the rapid heartbeat it induced. She couldn't help but bury her face in Kars's chest, savoring the sun-like comfort and letting out a sound of contentment. She suddenly understood why Daiyousei liked Kars. Perhaps it was because of this? She would like it too if she were in that situation.

Thinking this, Wriggle rubbed Kars's chest. However, she quickly realized that this behavior made her seem too intimate with Kars, especially with others watching. She could clearly feel eyes on her. Instinctively, she acted like an ostrich, burying her face deep in Kars's chest. As for getting up and maintaining distance from Kars, she simply couldn't do it now! She couldn't leave this warmth!

Mystia watched Wriggle's behavior, her expression one of confusion. She felt this behavior was no different from throwing oneself into his arms. But why was this happening so suddenly? Had Kars used some kind of magic?

Thinking this, Mystia looked at Kars. Noticing her gaze, Kars looked back at her, slightly puzzled, wondering why she was staring at him.

"Mystia, is there something wrong with me?"

"N-no, nothing… just casually looking." Mystia quickly shook her head, saying no. Then, she glanced down at Rumia, who was still happily eating her sweets, feeling a little envious of her complete obliviousness to the situation. The current atmosphere truly made her feel awkward.

At this moment, a recovered Cirno got up from the sofa and noticed the three fairies.

"Eh? When did you guys arrive?"

"Cirno-chan, they've been here for a while, but you were exhausted, so you didn't notice." She was also told that they had watched her playing the game with Kars, seeing all her reactions.

"Really?" Cirno didn't think much of Daiyousei's words. However, she quickly saw Wriggle in Kars's arms. This sight made Cirno curiously move closer to examine her.

Faced with Cirno's curious prying, Wriggle, who was already shy about her own behavior, turned her head away, trying not to let Cirno see her face.

"Wriggle's face is really red, and the way she's holding Kars looks just like your reaction, Daiyousei. Could Wriggle have fallen for Kars too?" Cirno's comment made Wriggle's body tremble instantly. She slightly shook her head, trying to indicate she hadn't, but Cirno couldn't see this movement. Only Kars felt it and explained for her.

"No, Wriggle is just cold, so she just wants to hug me for warmth."

"Is that so?" Cirno scratched her face. Then why did her reaction look so similar to Daiyousei's reaction before? Hmm! It was so confusing!

"Cirno-chan, you shouldn't say things like that casually. It might cause distress to others." Daiyousei tried to persuade Cirno not to keep saying those things. The current situation was already delicate, and continuing like this would only make the atmosphere even stranger.

"R-right! Kars, does your house have anything we can all play together?" Mystia suggested, trying to ease the atmosphere. She hoped a multiplayer game would make the current mood better.

"A game… Ah! I think I do have something. Patchouli made it for me. I haven't really played it yet." Kars suddenly remembered a special toy. As he was about to get up from the sofa, he felt Wriggle had no intention of letting go, so he picked her up and held her while walking to a cabinet to search. Wriggle, like an octopus, kept her arms and legs firmly attached to Kars.

Mystia watched this scene, opening her mouth to speak, but ultimately choosing to remain silent. In situations like this, staying silent and pretending not to notice would prevent the situation from becoming any stranger.

"Found it!" Kars took a book, or rather, a grimoire, from the cabinet. After returning to the sofa and sitting down, he placed the grimoire on the table.

"A book? Is this book a toy? Are you going to read us a story?" Mystia was confused. What could they play with a book? It looked like it could only be read, didn't it?

"No, it can actually be played with. Patchouli said it's a special grimoire made for me, for when I'm together with people I like." Played with people he likes? Hearing this description, Mystia suddenly felt she might not be suited to participate in this unknown game. However, saying she wouldn't play or participate now would be awkward.

"What's so special about this book?" Cirno immediately asked the critical question. They said it was for playing, but she couldn't see any functional elements that would make it a toy.

"Since it's a grimoire, it definitely has magical abilities. Patchouli said this book can transport us into a magical space. We'll only know what it's like once we go in, but Patchouli said it will definitely make me and the people I like have a lot of fun."

"That sounds interesting! Let's start quickly!" Cirno couldn't wait to start this very special game. Kars didn't dawdle and immediately opened the grimoire. Soon, a dazzling white light appeared, and everyone in the room vanished. The grimoire then closed itself, looking as if nothing had happened.

"Where are we?" Kars and the others found the environment completely different. The indoor room had turned into a vast, empty plain, which contained all sorts of strange landscapes and buildings. Even the ground was covered with odd patterns that seemed to have some special meaning.

"Welcome to the Married Game Adventure! The ultimate goal for all players is to reach the finish line! And marry Kars! Along the way, players will encounter various H-events to gain items and advantages to achieve victory!" Koakuma's voice boomed from the sky, and her words instantly made Mystia freeze. She should have definitely refused this game.
