Chapter 73: A Legendary Story Accidentally Left Behind
Inside the ship, an elderly woman sat by the window, flipping through a worn medical journal. Despite her age—well into her eighties—her movements were lively, her eyes sharp and filled with spirit.
Her name was Kureha, and, unfortunately for her, she hadn't boarded this ship to make history.
No—she'd been kidnapped by Charlotte Linlin.
"Linlin," Kureha sighed, closing her book. "As I've told you before, your problem isn't purely physical. It's also mental. You need psychological therapy, not just medicine."
Though she claimed she had no interest in helping a "bratty little pirate," she still found herself begrudgingly treating Linlin like a patient.
"Thank you, Doctor. I understand," Linlin said politely, nodding before picking up a permanent pointer. "Next, we'll head here…"

The sea and sky ahead were breathtaking—beautiful yet filled with peril.
Raging waves clashed with the heavens, and massive tornadoes spiraled upward, connecting sea and sky in a violent dance. Water droplets swirled through the air as thunder boomed in the distance.
Above the storm, through the thick layers of clouds, was a calmer world—a realm of endless blue and blinding sunlight.
There, a white cloud soared swiftly. Horus, the thundercloud Homie, carried a man and a woman across the sky. Their hair fluttered in the wind, occasionally tangling together as they leaned close to each other.
Nestled in Amatsuki Toki's arms, Roy held a small glowing sun—Pandora—which radiated gentle warmth over the two of them.
Below, ships were being swallowed by the storm. Above, sunlight illuminated the heavens in divine brilliance.
"Sister Toki, we're leaving the New World," Roy said, pointing forward as Horus flew past the last stretch of dark clouds.
Ahead, the towering Red Line stretched across the horizon—a colossal continent encircling the world.
"It's said that ten thousand meters below this continent lies a kingdom under the sea," Roy said with a grin. "A paradise of fishmen and mermaids."
Toki smiled teasingly. "Oh? Then why don't you find yourself a mermaid princess?"
Roy shot her a flat look. "Sister Toki, please…"
Of course, he had thought about it—but hearing her say it so casually made him flustered.
Toki giggled and leaned closer, her breath brushing his cheek. "If Roy really married a mermaid princess and had a little mermaid, I'd think that's adorable."
Her words nearly made him explode.
"Enough!" Roy said, grabbing her chin and kissing her deeply on her soft, pink lips.
Horus soared over the Red Line, entering the first half of the Grand Line.
Below, two pirate crews were locked in battle, cannon fire echoing across the waves. The sky above them darkened as Horus dove into the clouds—accompanied by faint, muffled sounds.
Pandora, now in his sun form, floated ahead, pretending not to notice anything.
Moments later, Toki adjusted her pink skirt, her face flushed crimson as she lay on the white cloud, glaring at Roy.
"You're getting addicted to teasing me," she muttered, biting her lip.
Roy only smirked. He couldn't do much with his current strength, but he could still kiss her—and his so-called "massages" tended to get… misplaced.
He liked to call it "familiarizing the battlefield."
"Who told me I only have you, Sister Toki?" he teased.
"You're impossible…" she murmured, though her pout soon turned into a sleepy yawn. "Let's find somewhere to rest. I'm tired."
"Got it," Roy said softly.

Several days later
The first half of the Grand Line.
A lone white cloud drifted down from the sky toward a desert kingdom below.
The sun blazed overhead, scorching the sands of the vast golden desert. The heat was unbearable, the air itself shimmering.
Roy and Toki sat atop Horus, following the direction of the permanent pointer toward Drum Island.
Unfortunately, they had wandered into an area notorious for extreme weather.
"It's so hot!" Roy groaned. The heat forced him to sit apart from Toki, though even that didn't help much.
"Pandora, it's boiling! Do something!" Horus complained.
"Idiot, that's the real sun!" Pandora snapped. "What do you expect me to do—fight it?!"
"Idiot~ You're the idiot~" Horus mocked in a singsong tone.
"Let's go down first!" Roy ordered. Horus obeyed, gliding lower through the dry winds.
"There's an oasis over there!" Toki said, holding a fan as she pointed ahead.
Before them, a town surrounded by green appeared like a gem in the sand. Horus quickened his descent.

Alubarna, capital of the Kingdom of Alabasta.
Within the palace, Neferutari Abner, the 11th king, walked the marble halls deep in thought. The scarcity of water had plagued his nation for generations, and despite all his efforts, he couldn't find a solution.
Just as he sighed, something in the sky caught his eye.
"What is that?" Abner exclaimed. A large white cloud was descending rapidly toward the city.
Before he could order his adjutant—a man who had eaten the Bird-Bird Fruit, Falcon Model—to investigate, the cloud suddenly shot back upward into the sky.
The Falcon user frowned, spreading his wings. "I'll check it out."
But before he could take off, the white cloud released a torrent of thunderclouds.
In seconds, lightning split the sky, and rain poured down in sheets.
"Boom!"
The citizens gasped, staring up as water cascaded from the heavens.
"A… miracle?" Abner whispered in awe.
He knew that many strange phenomena in the world came from Devil Fruit users—but this was different.
Alabasta, a kingdom cursed by drought for generations, was blessed with rainfall from a pure white cloud that had fallen from the heavens.
Years later, his son Cobra would discover this entry in his father's diary:
"A pure white cloud descended from the sky and brought rain to the desert. Some said it was a god, others a traveler of the heavens. My guards swore they saw a flash of red hair behind the cloud. God or man, they were a friend to Alabasta."
And many years after that, King Cobra would hold his young daughter, Vivi, and tell her with a smile:
"Once, a cloud from the sky blessed our kingdom with rain—and perhaps, one day, it'll return again."
